What are you going to use your Basic 4 for?

I guess the problem is one of definitions. "Food prep" is not the same as working professionally as a chef. The B4 will work just fine, very well in fact, for kitchen use. Will it suffice in the kitchen of a high end "hoity toity" restaurant, probably not.

I am a professional aviator by trade. I guess I could define anything under the the "heavy" category of aviation as not worthy of the title aviation, but that too is probably not correct nor fair.

Edited to add: That isn't as snarky as it sounds, its just that no one claimed that the Food Network would start selling these as replacements for high end kitchen equipment. But they will be very good for normal kitchen use if you wanted a sharp efficient cutting blade.

Edit: No no, you're right now that I think of it :) I didn't think through completely what "food prep" means. We're cool
