What are you hoping to see in 2018?

I would love to see a Bugout XL.
I'm an owner of the bug myself, when you say you would like a xl,are you meaning extra large.
Excuse my ignorance if I'm wrong lol.
But it wouldn't be a a bugout if it was bigger ? ,larger maybe not xl .lol.
Clarify xl please and sorry for not knowing xl in the knife world.
T shirts maybe .but not in a knife.haha
Cheers

I'm meaning a larger Bugout, yes. I've owned the Bugout and really liked it but I would like a larger model for EDC.

AH ok,I wouldn't want it in extra large though, maybe g10 and different steel.
Cheers

I call it an XL because the Bugout is not a mini. It's considered a standard size. 3.5 inch blade would be perfect and yes other handle materials and steels would be welcome.

Also, I'd like to see some type of wharncliffe design on a modern folder. That would be pretty cool.

A Micarta 940 would be great. I'd also love to see the 940 with aluminum scales in different colors (blue or orange would be terrific). And I'd love to see it with these alternate handles in any steel other than S30V, just for variety's sake.

I think 940 variants would sell like hotcakes. Not sure why BM doesn't do Sprint run aluminum handled 940's in different handle colors and steels. They would be SOOO popular. I prefer the aluminum handled 940 over their G10 and CF models because of the thinness.

Centered blades, no blade play, better sharpening and better qc. Or just lower map prices
Quoted for truth, I would have been interested in a few Benchmades this year (Osbourne Proxy and the Anthem come to mind) had there been a reasonable expectation of quality right out of the box. However since only one in four across all models have both a centered blade and symmetrical bevels (not an exaggeration, I checked a lot of knives at different shops because I've been burned buying Benchmades sight unseen before) , I'm not rolling the bones for $275 for the Proxy and $375 for the Anthem. At those prices, they'd better be perfect.

If Benchmade can fix their quality issues, then I'd like to see a successor to the 710, updated design in UNCOATED CMP-M4 or Maxamet, or ZDP-189. I would also like to see a ball bearing axis lock and caged bearings on flipper models to make them competitive with ZTs
