Same here. I grew up in the country but playing guitar made me appreciate lots of different music. Ralph Stanley's voice is about as perfect for bluegrass as you can get. Growing up I always wished I would have been blessed with an unmistakable voice like his or Joe Cocker or Eddie Vedder......instead I just got mediocre guitar playing skills and good looks. Lol

If you want to hear some enjoyable pickin' check out the youtube videos of Ironhorse. They are a bluegrass band that does covers of hard rock songs. Metallica, Ozzy, G&R. Pretty cool.

Will look up em up as soon as I get home! I love that stuff, like when zakk wylde (black label society) pulls off Elton John! And his biker audience is like wtf just happened! I really do appreciate fingerpickers though!

Zakk is effing amazing. Saw him play with Ozzy and BLS at Ozzfest in 2000.
