Hi,
I would like to know about your experiences with knife or axe makers and their customer care.
Just because I had a very strange one with a company I really appreciate for their quality products.
But in case of customer care.... There was just zero response..... Zero!
The company was Gränsfors Bruks a Swedish axe maker.....

Not with customer service, but I had 2 Gerber bg compact multitool break in a week.
The first had the screwdriver snap , and the replacement had the plier spring snap.
It was just was to go back to my 1mile away Walmart, the funny part is that I eventually saw the same exact limp handled tool back in their display case a week later.
Because of this I'll never by another Chinese Gerber multitool , or bear grills product for that matter.
As far as gransfors Bruks goes, I'd never buy a product of theirs as the botiqe axes they produce cost way to much for what you get ( I also think their ugly )
Why not just restore a vintage axe head and hang it ? If the small forest axe was what you bought, you can make something better by restoring a vintage 1-1/4 or 1-1/2lb hatchet head and hanging it on a 20" handle ( carve one from a larger handle, or even just use a 19" GB handle )

There are many but my most recent best is SOG. I found a SOG, brand new that needed a new thumb stud. The dealer had screwed up the original one trying to make it left-handed and thrown it away. I liked the knife (new old stock Seki-made SOG) but didn't want to buy the knife unless I could replace the stud. So I checked with SOG to see if I could get one (I didn't ask for one to be sent). They said sure we can replace it. However, w/o telling me the guy sent me a replacement thumb stud. It came in the mail the day I went to buy the knife with the goobered up stud.

Per the bad ones...not today :)

Purchased a Council Tool Jersey Axe, once it arrives the head was loose. I notified them and they sent a new one. I expected a return label to mail back the bag axe and they never did.
