I like my Dosier fixed blades in D2 -- I have several and they have served me well over the years...

I received an Ontario Rat for a gift a few months back -- beginning to like that knife as well. It's also in tool steel...

I have a half dozen other designs, but those are my favorites right now...

I like most any well made fixed blade. I do not care for the "fantasy" type, that is just personal taste however.
I recently got some fixed blades by Robert Dark, www.DarkKnives.com
The fit and finish on these are fantastic... you should check him out if you are looking for a Custom.......

Any one own a Green Berret or Pacific Chris Reeve fixed knife? How practical are they for an all around outdoors knife?
They look awesome, but... I like to buy practical hard use knives not just lookers.

BRKT Pro Scalpel II prototype and BRKT Carver handled Journeyman are fighting for my affection.

Close close seconds are a BRKT LE Mini Northstar, BRKT Woodland, and BRKT OMF.

Mongo I think we are sharing a pattern here. :D

These are my fixed blade knives made by friends. I'm fortunate to share a camp and fly fish with these guys every summer. The top one is by Bob Lum, the middle by Thad Buchanan, and the bottom one by Bill Harsey. I cherish them all, especially Bob Lum's.
