What are your favorite Ti-framelocks for under $250?

I'm a big fan of beefy framelock folders that are stylish and don't break the bank. Personally I also prefer a shorter stature (not necessarily just "little-big knives" but generally less than an 6 1/2" overall blade length). Anyway, I'm always looking for something new and interesting that exudes quality and doesn't break the bank. Everyone will always mention Sebenzas, but I'm talking something beneath $250.

What are your top 3-5 favorite beefy all-titanium framelock folders that don't break the bank?

Btw, I'm already dreaming of an Angryman AMF-s but they seem to be difficult to get your hands on.

ZT0301 and ZT0550

I think the Benchmade 755 MPR would suit you. Chunky Ti frame lock with G-10 scale and M390 super steel blade, 3" long. The only negative I can think of is that the pocket clip is a little stiff and really holds the knife in the pocket.

I never use mine (because I EDC Hinderers, and CRKs) and will probably put it up for trade/sale at some point, but I love it and hate to part with it.

Spyderco Sage 2
Spyderco Techno
Benchmade MPR
Bradley Alias II

You won't regret any of those. All great knives. Although, being already at $250, I'd save a little more and get a used small Sebenza.

I second the ZT talk. I have a 301 I bought used well under $250 and you can get the blems for even less. I've not had a 550 or 560 but those are next on the list. I love my 301. Hands down best knife I own...

I would have added the 550 but he mentioned less than 6.5" OA length. 550 is an awesome knife, but it's definitely larger than the others I mentioned.

Sage 2. The TI Military is great too, but a little bit over your measurements.

under $250 (but a bit larger than your measurements), my favorite is by far the ZT 0550, tough as nails and smooth as can be:

At just over $100 and within your measurements, the Sage 2 is another of my favorites. Just not as tough as the 0550 but just as refined, smooth and a better slicer.

I hinted around for one and my older son bought it for me. Biggest, heaviest, clunkiest brick I've ever owned. The clip rips the heck out of your Levi pocket...if you can get it out of your pocket. Has a great M390 blade-steel. Other than that, a COMPLETE waste of money. And...I can't sell it. :)

I do like the Techno, Brad Southard and ZT0350, 0560/0561 flipper.

Ti and G-10 with Elmax, 8.0" OAL

Vagnino P-38

Ti with S35VN, 6.25" OAL
Not a $250 knife to be sure, but you may find one for about $300 if you know howe to look around.

Sonny, I was being more subtle, but you are correct. I'll put mine up for sale at a good price, but I love the blade and hate to get rid of it. I heard the Mafia puts an MPR in each pocket of a body they are dumping in the river. Sinks like a brick.

I prefer slim knives, so for me its Sage 2 and Chokwe. For you, liking beefy, I'd say Techno and Southard. Either way, the framelocks coming out of Spyderco's Taichung facility are the best value around in my opinion.

Edit: is that an Andrew Bird reference in your username? Love it.

ZT0550 can be found for $150 ---- best bang for your buck!!! Get a custom scale from kryptoglow here on BF to make it yours!

Hmm, ya know I've seen this one out there. Just curious if it comes in other colors. But you say it's a solid knife? I have a Benchmade Rift and it's a great knife but too big to carry around in my opinion and also it's got an axis lock. I've actually never even held a frame lock by them. The only frame lock I have is a Boker Pipsqueak.
