What are your "must have" Kershaws?

My must haves are The Tremor, Asset, and Compound. I just got the Tremor in today and it is a lot of knife for the money. I love this thing even after only having it for a few hours. It carries very well in the right handed tip up configuration.

Leek and Skyline. Both are great EDC knives. Thin, lightweight, and comfortable to carry and handle.

Blur and Needs Work are honorable mentions. The Blur is one of my favorite knives to handle, but it tears up my pockets and knuckles when clipped in my pocket (TracTec inserts are very coarse). The Needs Work looks odd and is a bit on the bulky side for pocket carry, but it is surprisingly comfortable to handle and has a great practical use design.

A couple that have been discontinued....the Lahar and the Tyrade. I have 3 Tyrades I like it so much.
I like my Lahar a lot too. I should carry it more than I do.

How come nobody has mentioned the obvious answer yet??? All of 'em!!:D

Back when the old Kershaw sub forum was rolling, we had a standard answer when these type of questions came up. Some of you may remember it.

Forumit: "Which should I get, the ZDP-189 Leek or the Green Ti Spec Bump?"

Our simple answer: "BOTH."

Worked every time:thumbup:

Thanks for all the replies!

I just got a Leek on a cyber monday sale for $25. I like it a lot but they sent me a combo edge rather than the plain one I ordered. I'm not sure if it will grow on me or not, but I think I will keep it.

Sorry for the crappy cell pic. I think I might go for a JYD next.

You must get at least one of the many variants of the Leek, it's really such a well designed EDC knife. It was the first knife I bought after I decided to start buying quality knives, and now my collection comprises quite a few Kerhsaws. I have the Damascus, Composite, and S30V/G10 variants and I love all of them. If you can find a Storm still somewhere, I recommend that as well, it's a very Ken Onion design (big recurve) and just looks phenomenal. Finally, the Zing might be the best quality to value proposition on the market.

Since you asked...

Might as well start with my personal favorite, the Leek

Awesome pictures, bfnewbie! Looks like I"m going to have to get a JYD, Blur, Spec Bump, and Tyrade.

Great collection shots, newbie. You may be a newbie on BF, but you are most definitely a Kershaw veteran. Great group of knives!!

BFnewbie,

I think it is time to change your name. Great pics!

+1 more on the Tilt. Pictures definitely don't do this knife justice, but I'll still post mine anyways.
