If you really like it, no reason you should not get it.
Performs quite well. Very solid MT.
Beside the blade steel, the other difference is the Titanium handles.
Both of which explain the higher price. Not saying its needed, but many find those things a plus.
Certainly nothing wrong with a Wave, but if you really like the TTi why not get what you really want.
The only reason I have Charge TTi is that while I was in the market, a really good deal on one came up at almost the same $ as the Wave I was shopping for. Although for the money I couldn't turn it down, the Charge was actually my second choice because of concern about the crimper on the pliers jaws. It turned out not to be an issue, though.
After an initial get-acquainted period, the TTi became my favorite multi-tool and go-to when I expect the probability of needing tools, which is most days. It's my hands down "if I could have only one" choice (although I am, fortunately, not in that position

.) It rides all but unnoticed in its nylon belt sheath containing the TTi, bit extender and Fenix EO1 flashlight. Perfect.
There are a few nice things about the Charge compared to the Wave, although these benefits are minor. The Ti handles are easier on the hand and less likely to slip when wet. What Leatherman describes as a cutting hook on back of the Ti serrated blade is very handy for opening packages, and S30v does hold an edge longer than the 420HC, but unless you use the PE blade all day every day (I don't), a few more sessions on the stones over time is no biggie. Functionally, the 2 models are identical.
Given a choice with money no object, I would go with the Charge. It's just that much more elegant and useful. If function is your first priority, however, you can save money with the Wave, but here's another way of looking at it: This is not the kind of thing you buy and discard every month or so, but something to have for a long time. How much is the money saved going to matter to you, say, 3 years from now? A dinner and a movie?
