What are your rarest knives?

Okay... here is my rare Buck Custom Shop 110 in flaming Koa, nickel silver bolsters, and teardrop Damascus:

My rarest knife was my Grandfather's Case "Carson" of WW2 era. It was carried overseas by a friend of his and returned (my Grandfather had given it as gift to somebody in service) to him when the soldier was back from war. It's rare in the sense that I have never seen another outside of those knife identification books, and because it's an item of my Grandfather's that wasn't sucked up by my evil aunt and uncle after the estate was divied up.
Hope i'm not breaking the rules by linking to evibay but mine is very similar to this one:

This is my knife right here:

This is "it" for me. Discontinued model called the "troubleshooter". Great condition (no scratches, hasn't even seen use)
Not really expensive, but you wont find one new. :)

Benchmade 941-81 (Gold class 943 style with orange peel Ti handle) 1 of 38. Camillus CA-CU 262 TAL (5.5 CUDA MAXX with Talonite blade) 1 of 350.

The thing about one offs is that they aren't rare, they're unique.
That's an important distinction. Well said.

I don't imagine anything of mine is altogether rare, but there are a few that I seemingly never see...
Bark River Chef's Utility
Bark River Pro Scalpel II
Fiddleback Karda (3 finger)

I have several limited knives, that, although rare these days, may have been easier to find at one time. Not knowing when purchased (mostly) that they would end up being rare, they are all part of my EDC rotation, and see regular use.

Benchmade 730 CFHS (57/500)
Camillus Cuda Maxx 5.5 Bowie D2
Camillus Cuda Dominator Bowie
Microtech LCC D/A Gen II Ti/CF
Spyderco Titanium Police Necklace knife
Kershaw Junkyard Dog II Titanium Frame-lock w/SG2
Kershaw Offset Splash handle
Kershaw Tyrade Titanium/CF Frame lock
Kershaw Volt Ti Frame-lock
Kershaw Blue Ti Frame-lock Bump
Spyderco Military Ti frame-lock S30V (not rare...YET! :D)

I also have a couple SFO Traditional knives: 2007 Bladeforums Canal Street 27/52 Cannitler in mastadon, 2011 Bladeforums GEC EO Jack Spear/bottle-opener 1/150?

The rarest production folder in my stable is probably the Spyderco Rock Lobster. Not super-rare but certainly not for everyone.

I got a few dalton protos that are "rare" they are one of a kind and the knife run would have been only 50 peices anyways
Got some benchmade balis that are really hard to come by and probably i could sell them off for double what i paid. they are most likely a toss up with my daltons for rarest knives.
got a really nice one of a kind sebbie with damascus, but thats probably more a facet of cost than lack of availability.
I have some doziers and those like randalls have a fairly long waiting time at this point, but i think there are enough of them in circulation that you can probably get one just by shelling out extra capital
I have some discoed spydercos including two foliage green manix 1's that im hoping will go up in value.
Busses are highly collectible. and i own 7 of those.

wow...

Rarest knife from a production company is my Boker Leo IV, 4 steels and 600 layer damascus, tapered tang, corm of rosewood handles, 600 layer inlays, and 925 Sterling silver guard and pins. There were only 250 made and were originally not slated to be sold in the US. MSRP was $1800.

I don't know how particularly rare it is, but I have a Tim Wegner/Spyderco collaboration Mouse (before he went away from the Spyderhole and dropped the price point). I'm not sure how many of those "Mice" Spyderco cranked out before discontinuing it...

My rarest knives are my Marifone Microtech's,
Nemesis III Damascus blade
Combat Talon Damascus blade
Nemesis IV Damascus blade
Nemesis IV High polish blade
Splash HALO V
Splash LUDT with Damascus blade
1 of 8 original Socom, unmarked, made in 1995
I really do love the Vero Beach day Microtech's, before they went off the deep end with customer service and quality.

Hey there - new here as the addiction kicked in again after about a 10 year hiatus...:) My rarest knives from a production standpoint are:

- Benchmade 720SBT (numbered)
- Benchmade Pinnacle 750
- Cold Steel Scimitar 25SS
- CRKT Walker Bladelock (numbered)
- REKAT Escalator (+ trainer)
- Spyderco Chinook 1 C63GP
- Spyderco Gunting C68GPS
- Sypderco Massad Ayoob C60P (numbered with original micarta scales)

They've mostly been closet queens except for an extra Gunting which is a favorite EDC. Now because of this forum & great YouTube reviews, I'm trying to get the newer batch of 'must haves' & back to being broke. :)
