What are Your Thoughts on the Classic Spyderco Police??

Hey all,

I have carried a Spyderco Endura plain edge for about 12 years or so and it's been a great knife. Another knife that I have wanted for a while is the Spuderco Police model with the Spydie serrated edge. The model I like is the stainless handle with the blade shape that it was introduced with and not the newer versions. I wouldn't mind the G10 handles either, but they are much more money.

First, I'd like to know what you all thin of these knives.

Lastly, the prices I've found on the new ones have been right at $100. What do you all think a good price would be on a nice, USED model?

Thanks

Between $75.00 and $80.00 should be the most you should pay for a good used model.

Happy hunting.

It's a classic for a reason, excellent knife. Worth tracking one down.

I was lucky and found a new, unused 2012 production listed at a forum sponser dealer. I carry it as a second knife along with my Military or my PM2.

I love mine.

If you are a Spyderco nut then it's a must have. It's a classic design now. I remember the fist time I saw one way back when, I had never seen anything like it before and it stuck with me all these years.

I had one many, many years ago.... brings back fond memories of simpler times!

Still a solid choice although the smooth stainless slabs are not really as practical as G-10. I do prefer the original blade shape and size though. The new one is big!

A possible solution is to epoxy a more tactile material onto the non-clip scale, possibly even a thin slab of G-10?
