What are your thoughts?

I would like to know more about the steel but it looks like a decent deal if one has need of that type of knife.
 
Well, It is a small butcher knife! I bet it would be a good tool for the woods.

Agreed. I would also like to know what kind of steel is used, but he design looks no nonsense and very useful.

If it's a decent carbon steel like 1084 or 1095 I'd buy one.
 
I gave them a call to find out more about the steel. Not to impressed with the answer. First the "product specialist" said it's made with "spey blade steel".

My answer to that was "thats the style of blade, not the kind of steel".

On hold for another 3-4 minutes, Mr. "Product Specialist" came back and said it's "high carbon stainless".

I asked "what kind of high carbon stainless steel".

Answer; "not sure but it comes from Germany".

OK.... so it's stainless. Thats as much as I could get.;)
