I know this is a hard one for you guys to narrow it down to just three, but I know you all must have a top three. Here are mine:

1- Kershaw Blackout (I like this one because it is all black with a half serated edge)

2- Kershaw Chive (My little baby that I can wear with fancy dress, being a woman the smallness is important to fit on skirts and dress pants)

3- Case Bowie (this one I inherited from my hubby who got it from his grandpa)

What are your top three?

Love and Respect,

Heather

1. 18" WWII by Kumar. My first khuk and still my fav.

#2 & 3 is where it gets tricky. Ask me tomorrow, it might change

2. Gaucho knife from Argentina stamped "mission". It was set up for a southpaw when I got it, a rare and pleasant surprise.

3. Spyderco Native. Not as pretty as the EKA 88 it bumped from my pocket but handier.

Hey Luv :)

depends on what you mean by "favorite"...:D

I can think of favorites that fall in these categories:

1 - favorite knife for everyday use in the shop (Skirmish)
2 - favorite knife for display (YCS)
3 - favorite knife I can't afford yet....but will own soon. (MTX2)
4 - favorite knife I'll never afford....:(...(Bruce Bump Battle Ax)
5 - favorite khukuri that I own...(17.5" Fox Folly)
6 - favorite khukuri I do not yet own...(Samsher)
7 - favorite khukuri I would actually "pack"...(14" BDC or 13" PK)
8 - favorite multiblade....(SwissChamp XLT)
9 - favorite kitchen knife...(Santoku - my own)
10 - favorite all-around, do-all knife...(work in progress...see tracker thread)

I think that gets them all...

...for today, anyway...:foot:

Man that Bruce Bump is a higher life form or something. Could be related to Hephestus. I saw pictures in the makers section of a black powder gun he did. I mean that thing took your breath away. Six or seven feet of pure mastery. All inlaid with gold, I think it was gold. I was transfixed. Several minutes of drooling over that gun.

My first is a little Japanese folder that says imperial on the blade . Carbon steel . It sharpens like a dream and keeps its edge long enough to field dress a deer . Thats without touching the second blade usually .

The second is a knife given to me for my birthday . It is made from A nicholson file . The tang handle fits my hand well and still has the file teeth on it . It will proabably become my new skinner/fire striker .

Third and will proabably become my favourite is my 15 inch 17 ounce B:A:S: Uncle Bill Kukuuri . Its thefirst knife I was given here and will always hold memories of how well I,m treated here .

I,m adding a fourth cause its made from wood and just because I can . Its my new ironwood walking stick boken . Again made for my birthday and it has character like you wouldn,t believe .

Kevin, I'd like to see pics of that walking stick please.

Other than when I'm asleep I have a knife attached to me all the time.

Not yet, but I keep hoping against hope that Frank will give me one of his, the small one hunny, hint hint. ;)

For me:
Spyderco Salt1 SE

Stainless Douk-Douk

Victorinox Solider.

If you can't do it with that...well you'd better go and get a khuk!

No, no, not the small red velvet and silver inlay sheathed ones. I don't think I could actually USE one of those for working in the garden. The one that is hanging from the headboard is right :D hehehehehee!

You know I'm not sure. I got a lot that are really pretty but probably my favorites would be the ones with the most utility.

My favorite pocket knife would probably be my UT6 or Hubertus Camper

My favorite hatchet would be my Lee Reeves.

My favorite khuk would be the 16" Bonecutter with the 17" Foxy Folly nipping at it's heels.

My favorite fixed blade would be either one of my Nessmuks, maybe Dale Chudzinski's or my Bark River Northstar with the Blaze orange scales.

Some of my prettier ones would be the coffin handled Rogue Bowie by Bark River, the Ball Bearing Damascus Skinner or my cable damascus Nessmuk by Ariel Salaverra, the Microtech Lightfoot LCC, or my Damascus Frank Beltrame Picklock that was a Switchblade Forum Knife:thumbup:

Favorite Khukuri= Early Sanu YCs
Favorite folder= Benchmade Rukus...... right now at least.
Favorite heavy use knife= older SAK Champion

That is my favorite three today!:p

One day my friend . I just have too many projects on the burner to lay out the cash for a half decent digital camera . There seems such a wide gap between ordinairy priced cameras and those that are just out of my range . I don,t need a gadget camera . The quality of the ordinairy cameras just
doesn,t tickle my fancy . There is one olympus that is not too bad .

The boken because of its dual role as a walking stick is not much more than a walking stick to the casual eye . The handle has a great feel to it . I slap my hands onto it and they have that sweet spot feeling everytime .
right now I am just practicing one swing and a few pommel strikes . When I go to my buddies house to do a little electrical work I hope to get a bit of a workout from him . Maybe a kata with some light sparring as well .
I have to take it easy on him . He is 69 and I don,t want to get whupped by a senior citizen . L:O:L
