What Assisted opener???

I've strayed away from Buck over the years but a buddy of mine recently bought a Buck Rush and I was very impressed it. It has assisted opening, an anodized aluminum frame, and best of all, a blade made of ATS-34 steel. The fit and finish on this little knife was extremely nice. (also has a very friendly price-51.95 @ knifeworks.com. 2.5" blade-2.4 oz.)

Yes, Camillus rocks! I just did a review of the Sizzle in the reviews section. The zytel handles are great. It's just so solid. And the price is right.

The Kershaw Bump is the best assisted opener that I have handled. Great ergonomics being a Ken Onion design.

Just recieved my Kershaw leek and I am very impressed. I am worried about the 440A and how it will hold up considering it is replacing a worn out Spyderco Endura. Time will tell, but this is a very cool knife.

The Camillus Blaze or Heat, depending on your size preference. Actually, the Heat, Blaze and Sizzle are all keepers. I'm also quite fond of my Kershaw Scallion for a smaller EDC.

The Buck ASAP action is really nice, but I can't find a model I like well enough to buy.

I'm a huge fan of the SOG Flash series, I have a Flash Tanto.

Also the Kershaw Leek in S30V is another I can recommend. I don't own that particular one..but I have a Leek and 3 other knives in S30V.

I have a Leek, a Flash II and a Camillus Heat... the Heat gets a lot more pocket time than the rest. Even though it has nylon scales, it feels solid as hell. The opening mechanism is the snappiest of the three. I love them all, but the Heat is my fave (this week...)

I carry a Kershaw Leak, but I removed the safety. I know some may not approve, but the dang thing was always locking when I pulled it out of my pocket. If it ain't fast, I don't use it! ;)

I see what you guys mean about this being addictive. I just ordered another leek. The one i own now (with 440a) was dull after only 2 days of use. But, I ordered an edgepro to take care of that (Once again - ADDICTION). My 440a model is now going in my tackle box because of 440a's good corrosion resistance. I will EDC the S30V version for a while.

This is the best knife ergonomically that I have ever owned. It is hard to notice when carrying, easy to locate, easy on pants, fast to open, very comfortable to hold, easy to cut with, durable, and nice looking. My only complaint is how fast the blade dulled on my 440a version. I previously used a Spyderco in ATS34 and it held an edge for weeks. The 440a lasted only 2 days before totally dull. A knife this nice should come with better steel STANDARD!!

Overall, awesome knife, once my version in S30V comes in and can hold an edge I'm sure that this will be my favorite blade ever.

I have drooled for the Dominator for a long time. But I have a question about its ROBO assisted opening system. Is it possible to fasten the pivot so the package can pass the custom without problems? This is a serious problem to pp1 live in Canada.:o Anybody have experience with the dominator please chime in to give me a answer.

ok asking the pro's yet again....Im looking for a neat knife something with some assisted opening feature and cool little bells and whistles.. not too small medium to large..Plain edge perfered and price wise under $70 bucks.. used or new condition...

I have never even used or held a Assisted opener and am really new at this so I don't know what all makes & models are out there.. I want it to be a good knife though and not some junk that will wear out within a year AUS-8 is pretty good and as far as I can tell anything harder will be out of my price range..

I am really diggin the SOG Twitch II and Twitch XL but not really into the blade style.. but mechanics and construction style is right up my alley.. and I like the X-ray but a review i read made it look like the pivot area is weak..
and flash 1 & 2 but dont really know the difference in either..

Kershaw is kinda neat and haven't totally ruled them out and Camillus also but Im not too into the zytel scales.. I would perfer aluminum handle.. anyone know of any differnt ones? and out of these what would be the one you perfered over all others.. This knife will probally see more flick time than actual cutting time and from what i have read about the SOG SAT it is very addictive and fun to open and shut lol .. anyway thank's yet again for your time and help

Just stay away from the SOG Flash 1, 2 and Folding Trident. The blades rust easily and there is blade play.

Another vote here for Kershaw blackout. Have had mine for quite a while. Everything is still tight, it holds an edge fairly well and is a great value.

I used to own a Flash II and the blade did seem a bit weak but I was pretty rough on it so I don't know that I would rule it out. The Trident looks pretty sweet but I've not read any owner impressions on it yet.

This is out of your price and also probably out of your size, but for "bells & Whistles",
I carry a Camillus Aftermath, D2 steel, some wild cnc scrolling work on the handle and fast as hell and shaving sharp!

FWIW

I'll second this. I recently gave mine away to a friend after I carried it every day for over three years. He loves it.

I've really enjoyed Kershaw's Bump line. I personally use and prefer the Blue Bump, but the Spec bump was fantastic too. It'll come down to a preference for g10 versus titanium, and stud lock versus framelock, probably.
