I have one of the hf band saws. I know dont use there blades. so what is the best blade that will last more than a couple of cuttings? and where do you get them?. for 1080 steel mostly Thanks so much.J Reeves

I just bought one from MSC. It's a cobalt tipped 14 tpi. Seems to cut well, but time will tell.

I second on the Lennox, typically I think they are worth the cost but..from time to time you can get carbon steel blades for about $6 each from MSC or Grainger. I bought a bunch last time and am very happy. The lennox does last longer not doubt but at $6 I can use up a few of these. Bottom line if buying the less expensive buy from a good source and get on sale, otherwise you cant go wrong with the lennox

I use one that is made for cutting carbon steel by lennox.

I use Starrett bi-metal 24 TPI. They last me over a year.
I cut a lot of thin materials as well as steel up to 1/4".
