What becker knives must a Beckerhead Have ?

BK2, BK9, BK5, BK15, BK16 Sabre Grind & a BK6 Patrol Machete when they are re-released in 2013/14. Thats 6, oh well. :D
 
For me, it's the BK4 Machax, the ultimate woodsman's knife, and the BK15 tweener.

I tried the BK11 and BK14 first and the handles are just too small for my hand. The BK15 tweener is great. It's the smallest fixed blade I need; anything smaller and my EDC folder will do the trick.

Plan B, for a larger/heavier version of this package is the BK9 and the BK2 with the same folder (currently a Spyderco). I have both of these knives as well and really like them. BK9 is the goto kitchen big knife and the BK2 is great for batoning and processing chaga or other dried roots/herbs.
 
Crap.

I don't even have 5 Beckers, but I've been a 'head for like a year :(.

But I'd say that the 2, the 11/14 and the 9 are the base for anyone. Then you will need to add in a tweener, and maybe a 5 or 7 (depending on what tweener you got).

Gotta say I completly agree. & I'd go with a 5 as my wild card. Although I'd have a hard time giving up my 7.
 
You can start anywhere you like, but it won't end until you've had them all (production) and start chasing the out-of-production pieces.
 
I'm gonna go with an 11 or 14, & you gotta have a 2 and a 15. A Brute...would seal it.

Seriously; you can't go wrong with a BK5!! I really believe you should put that on your list. It's, IMHO, the most versatile of all the Becker knives. It's like a big little knife; or a little big knife. It can do it all with ease. Why do you think it costs so much more than the others :D Because if you start with that one you won't need to get any other.

I really have to agree with you..because I did "technically" have one for about 10 minutes. Until my wife opened the priority mail box and assumed it was a gift for her. See..she's a cop who decided to become a caterer in her spare time, and had wanted a large knife for various duties and "thought that I was being nice" by buying her one ! Who am I to argue.. :rolleyes: . I'am happy with the 15 that I won !

The 7 ... will do anything and everything.

And no one has mentioned what Moose calls "the Little Black Dress" of the lineup
because it's so versatile ...?
