What blade do you like better?

both great blades, personally the HRLM is the perfect size blade for me so it would get my nod but others here will surely disagree ;)

HRLM, but I already have a mess of blades the same size as the RMD.

I like my RMDs, but then again I don't have an HRLM.

So I probably shouldn't have posted in this thread...

RMD has the better balance of the two IMO. The HRLM is just so darned handle heavy for me.

I just think the RMD is very close to perfection in a mid-sized blade.

I'm with kdstrick all the way on this one. LOVE the ratmandu. Like the HRLM but not nearly as much as I like the RMD. It's the RMD that I just can't seem to put down.

i have a RMD and really like it. ive never tryed a HRLM been wondering if im missing out.
yea Rat Daddy beats them all!

RMD is Nice but the HRLM feels better to me. The HRLM is the most carried fixed blade knife I have. Its just about perfection for an everyday user.

Its a damn good thing we all have different preferences... otherwise we would all be chasing the same woman. :)

Both great knives! I'm thankful that Eric re-released them (and the SWarden, too!)

EDC nod has to go to the HRLM for us "city-folk." Pulling a RMD out in the big city gets you a look like you are Crocodile Dundee. LOL

I haven't held a RMD in a long time. I'm excited by the prospect. In part b/c I love BP. It felt a bit odd last time - the choil made that edge seem so far away.

I thought I would like the RMD way better, but when I got them in the hand, things changed.
I like the HRLM a little better.
You can't go wrong with 1 of each though:D

My vote goes to the RMD. A perfect combination of balance, comfort and size. The HRLM is also very good, except the choil is slightly too small.

I agree that the choil is too small as-issued. I englarged the ones on mine to be usable. I also ground off the stupid lanyard hole. Both mods make all the difference to me.

Here's a Muddy HRLM that I ground off the lanyard hole and increased the size of the choil:

And here's one I ground, enlarged and bead blasted:
