What blade steel for the Paragee?

Blade length is 3.0" and we are leaning towards AUS-8A for the blade steel. We still don't know the MSRP for the Paragee however we plan to keep this knife reasonable. Our experience is that 8A offers the best performance for a mid priced production steel. Add a subzero quench and the Paragee will be a solid performer

David, is there a larger model on the cards?, say 4inch blade - please.
 
How about VG 10? At the very least I do hope you go with the AUS 8. I just know I could sell a bunch of them with that or a better blade steel.

Outdoor Edge is working with some quality outfits in Taiwan, and I haven't seen VG10 on any knives that don't come from Seki City, Japan. There may be some outfit there has a recipe for heat treating the stuff that they're not sharing with just anybody.
