Blade length is 3.0" and we are leaning towards AUS-8A for the blade steel. We still don't know the MSRP for the Paragee however we plan to keep this knife reasonable. Our experience is that 8A offers the best performance for a mid priced production steel. Add a subzero quench and the Paragee will be a solid performer
Outdoor Edge is working with some quality outfits in Taiwan, and I haven't seen VG10 on any knives that don't come from Seki City, Japan. There may be some outfit there has a recipe for heat treating the stuff that they're not sharing with just anybody.
