Spear point, with several footnotes.

I'm not organized enough that I've gone through and done the math to know what percentage of what I have.

There are a lot of knives I've accumulated that don't get carried anymore, and "what I have" is very different from "what gets the most use". The former category is probably an almost perfect bell curve distribution centered around spear points, because I have enough electrician pattern knives to skew the results.

The latter is almost exclusively spear points and modified wharncliffes, since my Alox electrician goes in my pocket for work, and my Artisan Holm takes up a lot of time on the weekends.

I admire drop points and spear points the most. They're good
"do-it-all" shapes that have been used forever for good reason. But
Vote cast for drop point

Where does ____ shape fit in?

Exactly. There are so many blade shapes that straddle or even blur lines between the defined categories given. So I abstain, and content myself with designating any knife I have made by whatever blade shape sounds the most rightest to me at the moment.😅

Drop/leaf point.
Not too much belly like a clip point.

For chef knives, not too much belly either, I don't rock chop often, a lot of slicing.

For offense/defense, obviously a spear point for me.

Can't do the math either, but from a pure aesthetic perspective I like clip point the most.

However, I am a very simple person, if it's pointy enough to remove a splinter, I'm happy, and if it's not pointy enough, I'll make it so.
