What Brand of Knife do you have most of?? (lame thread humor me)

7 Bark Rivers, the last 3 were custom/limited run. Otherwise, ESEE, Ontario, then Fiddleback Forge, Ka-BAr/Becker.

I think I currently own more TOPS knives than any other brand. But several BK&T, SOG, ESEE, and a few Fiddlebacks, Breedens, CRK&T, Gerbers, and older Schrades and Old Timers...and a couple of SAKs.

Kershaw with 8 (counting 2 ZT's and my Kimura III)

Then ESEE with 5.
And Spyderco with 3 (that'll be changing ;)).
And 3 or less of other brands (BM, CRKT, Strider, etc.)

6 Moras, 6 CRKTs, 4 Gerbers (2 MKIIs, 2 Guardians) 2 Beckers, 2 Cold Steel, 2 Kurkris,
1 RTAKII, 1 Russell Canadian belt knife, 1 KaBar, 1 AFSK

Damn, I hope the wife don't see this.

I used to have a bunch of BM's, but then I traded them off/sold them/gave them away as gifts.

Now I have a few more Spyderco's than CRK's, but the ratio will probably be dropping really soon.

CRK's by far....

Ooops, I was daydreaming....that's my "wish list" :D

I think I have more Kershaws, followed by Buck, then Benchmade...

Bucks and Victorinox. Partly because they are less expensive than the high end brands.

Its a tie Case 14 and Spyderco 14

I started out for years buying Schrade Old Timers, and pretty much carried them until I joined the Army. In Germany I started using Puma, and then when I came back and got into the gun business I met a lot of the people in the knife side of the house. That's when I had a bunch of Gerber, Cold Steel, Spyderco, etc laying around. (Seriously, I got pulled over one time and they hauled 13 firearms and 27 knives out of the cab of the truck. That took a while to explain...)

A few years back I realized that a good custom knife often cost less than some of the production stuff on the shelves. That's when I headed off in another direction. Looking through the inventory today I find few production knives (I've bought 4 in the past year) but a fair number of customs.

I think a lot of us go through cycles, and to me that's part of what make collecting fun.

In answer to the OP, currently I have about a dozen knives from the late Ron Gaston. He made clean, under-rated blades. Here's my favorite:

Most of my accumulation is one of a kind but I do have about 15 SAKs, 12/13 Case, 11/12 Spydercos, 7/8 Benchmades and about 250/260 assorted slipjoints, lockbacks and fixed blades.

I have more Case knives than any others. I guess the reason is I love the cv steel slipjoints and they are relatively inexpensive considering their quality.
