  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What brought you here?

I was checking out the impressive handle scales on burlsales.com and noticed they had a knife maker list, so I scrolled down and found 2 makers that got my interest. John was the first one, I won't mention who the other was since he never responded to my inquiry. John responded almost immediately and I found him to be friendly and helpful. He encouraged me to join BF and my wallet hasn't recovered since! While I now have over 20 custom knives from various makers, the ones that I actually use come from John, Jack O'Neill and Ban Tang.

I had seen John's knives before in the W&SS forum. However, I was thinking of trying out a new maker this year. I looked at the traffic for the various makers, and there was alot of activity here. I liked the people here right away.

3 knives later, at great prices, by the way.

Thanks John!

Glenn

This has been an interesting thread to read.

What I surmise from this is that John is a very friendly person, who responds quickly and treats people with courtesy; his knives are functional and affordable, and there are friendly people who come here to commiserate.

Yep - that is what I liked about JK Handmade Knives. ;^)

best regards -
