I've been using Mozilla/Firefox for the past year,& I love it.I used to use IE6 before I switched over. The difference is like night & day.The pages load faster than ever & there are virtually no freeze-ups,or bog downs.

I did a search of the top ten browsers & put them in the poll.

So what do you use?

Used to be with Firefox too, but for a year more or less, I've been using Chrome. I like the "clean", uncluttered look.

Still remember Netscape?

I’ve been using Iron mostly since I first heard about it in this forum. It’s like Chrome, but with more privacy. There’s a version for Linux too.

A couple of weeks ago, I looked up “Netscape” in Wikipedia and was surprised to find out that the last version of Netscape Navigator was released in 2008. I thought it died out in the '90s.

You can say that again, love the fact you can go incognito, leaving no traces of site visits or cookies nor history on your computer. Not that I would ever visit such sites my family would not approve of.

I use Chrome. I think it does a wonderful job. There are a few sites that I have to use IE for still, due to how the site is coded. I hate those sites.

FYI, both Safari and Firefox have a "Private Browsing" feature which does the same thing.

I like Chrome for almost everthing, but my second choice is Firefox. There is an add on for Firefox that makes it so it can render the pages that are IE only. (I'm not a technogeek, and don't know the right terminology, as anyone who is can easily see). I love Chrome for faster loading (side by side comparisons against firefox at work have shown Chrome is faster every time, but that's not scientific), and way less clutter. Now when I use Firefox or Internet Explorer I'm always amazed that about a third of the screen is nothing but web browser tools, etc. that I don't need to see!

I used Firefox for the last several years before trying Chrome out.

For me, it is much cleaner and neater, and the launch time smokes Firefox.

If you are the kind that likes a variety of plug-ins for e-mail, controlling iTunes, etc... get Firefox.

If you want a bare-bones, clean, yet nice looking, speed demon, go with Chrome.

Firefox. I did try Chrome when it came out. It seemed to load some pages faster, but the lack of an ad-blocker was a deal killer.

I used Firefox before it was called Firefox, so for a looooong time but every version it gets more bloatware and is slower, so I switched to Chrome and i'm very happy

Hm,I've been hearing a lot of good things about Google Chrome lately.I downloaded it,& I'm going to try it out for a few days. Thanks

I use Chrome my PC, on my PC it's faster than Firefox and I like the user interface better. On my very old laptop I still have Firefox, can't install Chrome there.

We have been using Chrome for about a year. Before that we had IE7 and Firefox.

I like Chrome. It seems to work well, and its simple. I need simple because I'm an idiot with computers :D

Firefox is my main browser because it's fast and I can put NoScript, Firebug, and AdBlock Plus all in one. Currently I'm using the 4.0b7 and it's going well.

Chrome is great if I need to run some JavaScript heavy pages. Other then that it's too simple for my tastes. Think of it as a fixed blade without a handle or sheath. :)

I was a test platform for the beta tests of Chrome. Having three identical computers doing the same things, it was easy to test the three side by side. In my opinion, the worst was IE8. Just too bulky. Firefox got high marks for the adblock, but having a browser open along side a system hog trading program caused several of the Firefox add-ons to crash on a fairly regular basis. Chrome was the fastest and leanest, but lacks an adblock. Get the Google people working on NoScript and AdBlock and it will be hard to beat. I have been running Chrome on all 5 computers since the first release.

For anyone worried about the data mining Google does, SRWare Iron is an exact copy of Chrome, but with the data mining code removed.
