What Buck are you carrying today?

Is that slick 305 stag in your watch pocket?
When it's carried it goes in my pocket organizer in my left pocket because I'm a lefty, but this week actually it's one of my favorite Case knives in my pocket because I needed a dose of carbon steel.

the stag 305 is my favorite, but I haven't carried the Chairman 305 much and do really like it so that'll probably be my choice for next week with the stag 305 going into my pocket after that.

Was out deer hunting last two days, carried this Buck 110 Folding Hunter and an old Case pocketknife. OH

Happy Monday! Today includes a Buck 293 Inertia - the Walmart exclusive version handle style. If this assisted-opener had a left-handed pocket clip, it would get a whole lot more pocket time - and maybe even *gasp* replace my Micarta 112 Slim Pro as my primary every day carry knife.

The weak point of this knife is that if the pivot bolt works loose, the ball detent on the safety won’t work and the knife could open in your pocket. I saw it happen to a guy - who was playing basketball - in jeans. Anyway. He noticed it and only got a relatively minor cut on a finger trying to get it out of his pocket. He was also a young man and the knife was his first ever assisted opener so I think he flipped it 1000 a day - accelerated lifecycle testing, for sure. So as long as you Locktite the pivot bolt and check it occasionally (and are right-handed), it’s a fantastic knife. Incidentally, an M-16 A2 front sight tool fits the pivot bolt perfectly.
