What Buck are you carrying today?

As a change of pace I grabbed my old model 500. I have had this knife since 1979-1980 period; I don't remember the actual year.

It is an older micarta handled with the script lettering. Does anyone know what years the model 500 came with 440C blade steel?

This stuff does not act like the 420J that my other Buck knife has.

yep and the sentry/endeavor nylon style old sheath. I carry mine in that as I dont care for the plastic Mesa sheath.

Yeah I have a sentry molle sheath that I put on my backpack sometimes and carry my mesa in it.
