My grandfather recently gave me a large fixed blade buck knife and i dont know what it is all it say on it is BUCK USA. It has a seven inch blade on it and a large black handle.
I believe the Model 119 (well it has a ~6" blade) or is it 120 General, it has a 7.5" blade I think. If it only says Buck USA it may be made with 440C steel (good).
Anywho, I will sit back and see if the real experts here can help you.
Welcome, Mcolizzi. My crystal ball went blank . If you could describe the blade shape . ie. straight back all the way or straight back with sweep up at tip and one inch or one and a half inch wide . Maybe pins or no pins in the handle . Thanks, DM
I'm getting something on my crystal ball, its..its.. the 124, with phelonic wrap around handle, no pins and no blood groove . Not so many were made w/ the two line stamping, depending on the spacers . A real family heirloom from 1968-72 . DM
