The rig. Right side perfect -- no rust.

The handle -- saatisal with burl -- excellently crafted.

Scabbard with metal belt loop. Notice the seam. Great work by a great kami.

A closer look at some astounding work.

The heart breaker -- rusty left side.

Bura was the only kami when given free rein decided to make something unique and here it is. The work is excellent on both sword and scabbard. I'm especially impressed with the scabbard. The seams look factory manufactured. I don't know how this old guy does it.

As you can see the handle is unique and very well done. Blade finely executed. very nicely fullered, straight -- all the signs of being made by a master.

Length is 31.5 inches and weight is 18.3 ounces -- light and very fast. Easy to handle.

The only problem with this unique, one of a kind, Bura Special Sword is rust. Left side is rusted pretty badly. If you have a buffing wheel you can bring the finish back to new in 30 minutes. If you're doing it by hand my guess is you are looking at 3 or 4 hours.

Ordinarily I'd charge about $200 for this rig because that's what it's worth. Because of the rust I'll knock off $75 and deliver it to your door for $125 and that is still an UBBB.

Truth be told, I expected the price to be more like $300...

Still waiting for confirmation...but *was* the first to view it at least.

FWIW, I *just* returned from the oil check I mentioned...guys, *GET IT DONE*. It wasn't anything at all to be concerned about. The preparation (fasting and flushing) was far worse than the 30 minutes with the Doctor and his tools. It was a 1/2" or so tool, carried a light, camera, cauterizing loop cutter all in one. It's true that it was flexible and about 5' deep, but almost totally without discomfort. It *can* be a lifesaving inspection!

Also BTW, karma works! I was sitting here writing this public service announcement to try to save *your* life, and the confirmation just arrived!

Thanks Uncle Bill!

Agreed. Should have been $300 w/ no rust. Nasty - you oinker! ! :D :p

oink oink oink

That's what I said Dan...Saw the first pic and thought...Wow...this is gonna be at least $300...then saw the price and that I was first in!!! :D

Finally...I get to be a member of the "One of a kind" club!!!

Thanks Ferguson & especially Bruise. :footinmou :barf: :D

OMIGOD. That is a beautiful sword. I have a feeling more would sell if made.
