What Bussekin are you carrying around today?

When I carry a Big Blade, I tend to carry Two, one on each side on the Belt...

1) It Balances me out: Good Weight distribution is important for Skeletal Health, Musculature, & Proper Posture.
2) In Case of Bad Guy Attack, They Don't Know Where my Defense will come from, or Which Blade I'll draw (First)...
3) People who carry Two Big Blades Tend to Not get Attacked; The Intimidation Factor is High.

(Around here, virtually the only folks that come onto this property are the UPS Driver & the Propane Guy, & they're both Awesome Ex-Marines, & they Love my Blades & Bang-Bangs; So we all get along Great. )

4) Plus, Comparisons can be made between Blades, for Length or Strength or effort required to get through a Tuff Knot, etc.
Sometimes I just need two different flavors, is all.
Today was an example...

First, we start with my Aftershock Variant...
The Mysterious Yet Ever-Faithful Missy BoJo.
Don McLean wrote a song about her, you might know..
(I'm sure that's what his song was about: Missy BoJo's Angles? 🤔 🎶...)

One More Light Wallop with that Baton & She was Thru that log section.

Just as I pushed her handle down & was about to swing at her Indestructible INFI Tip, the Waning Sunlight came out behind the clouds, as Sundown was about to commence within minutes, so I snapped these next Two Photos while I had a few precious moments of Natural Lighting...

That section split off with a Satisfying Crack then Crunch, making kindling duty a True Pleasure...
Mixing it up, out came the Midnight Blue, the Foot-long Battle Mistress Blade from the Left Belt Sheath, to split the next log section in the Sunlight, with so little effort, it's hard to believe I needed to hold onto the cord-wrapped handle at all.
Perhaps she should be called The Wood Mistress: She really knows how to eat thick wood... 🪵

Another Satisfying Crunch, as another section of wood falls upon the chopping block...
From my Silly-Phone Camera Angle, it's still tough to see that her Blade is a Blue Finish, but she is.
[Wish I could deliver Better Pics for Y'all: Some Imagination Required.]

Light then Faded behind the hills, but I still managed to get one more Good Shot of the Worker Blades, Resting in Repose from their Mighty Labors. The bulky Baton sits in-between & One Sheath, the Elk-Hide wrapped clothes of the 12-incher awaits its covering duty. Each Sheath has a survival pack attached...

The Fruit of the Labor: Warmth in the Dwelling from the Freshly Split Wood, in use by the wood stove.
Those Beautifully Useful Busse Blades Split enough wood in an hour to heat the place until tomorrow, at least.
One can see the fan atop the stove whirling like a dervish, All Heat Powered motion: Whoosh!
...

May the Warmth provided by the Busse's Ever Be Yours on these still Cold, Windy Eves this Springtime.

Custom Boss Jack, razor sharp Convex edge
Dessert Iron Wood Grexed tan canvas, Hammered flats
Pirtle made sheath
Sweet Sheath by CP 😍

Knife is pretty Snazzy, too.

It's got that "Jack" Look, alright... 🤔
I hadn't seen a Grex process on Desert Ironwood with Tan Canvas Micarta before.
Very Nice Natural Appearance. User Friendly, instead of the common black on black productions.
Seems to Match the Sheath Color quite well.

You should take one with the knife in the sheath so we can see that color scheme as one unit.

Thanks for posting the Photo!

Sliante!

Recently fixed a big mistake I made 9yrs ago when I passed on a BG Urban Grudge. Grabbed this beauty off AZCK and ordered pants from Mr. Brown straight away. My daughter picked the Yeti pattern to match my other cerakoted blade, a digicam SCABS.

Ahh, Yes,
That IS a Great Color Combo:
Warm Inviting Colors,
Not off-putting to the non-knife crowd is a Real Plus at times.
Much Thanks for posting this Exquisite Photo, Missouri Man!
The Boss Jack has a Fine, Thick, Leather Jacket...!
Looks like that Strap is usable as an Ambidextrous Scout Style Carry as well: A Great Feature. 🔪 🗡️
