What camera does everyone use?

There seems to be a correlation with the interest in knives and guns with the interest in cameras. As far as spending habits go, I don't like to spend money on myself, but when I do, I choose to buy higher end knives, guns or cameras. I have owned countless numbers of each and I was just wondering for those interested in photography. What cameras do you guys have and use? Which ones have been your favorite? Do you "EDC" a camera everyday?

Currently I have a Canon EOS 6D for my more planned photography, and a Panasonic GM1 camera for my EDC camera.

I like full-frame for its picture quality and depth of field advantages, but full frame is just too heavy to lug around. I just got the GM1 and I am really enjoying how small it is. If I am going APSC sensor size the Sony Nex line of cameras are amazing for their image quality and portability. Still a full frame rig is too heavy to "EDC" everyday and my iPhone just doesn't cut it image quality wise for me, hence the GM1 for coat pocket portability.

Check out the thread in the photography forum here, "What do you shoot with"

Myself I shoot Nikon (film and digital), Leica, Yashica, Minolta, Konica, Miranda, and several other little boutique brands. I have maybe 15 or 20 cameras all in service, stuff from the 1950's to current.

Nikon D5200

Nikon D3200 but i also have a little cybershot that i use as an EDC camera, however that really just sits in my truck

My EDC is an Olympus tough camera. I have a dslr for more intricate stuff too but most of the time I just shoot jpeg

RAZR M, I use multi-shot or an HDR app and I treat my camera like a full auto machine gun in a movie. I keep shooting and hope I hit something and just like the movies I forget to reload (no film ).

I suck at taking pictures so my thought process is if I take 10-20 really fast a couple will come out good and I can use those. Than I use foldersync to auto upload my photos to my google drive to be backup once the phone starts charging and connects to wifi.

Though I've noticed if you know how to take a picture properly you can take some awesome pictures with camera phones. My friends have taken some beautiful pictures with their phones and I've seen them do this for several years. So if you don't want to EDC a "real" camera try to learn a bit more on photography to maximize what you get out of your phone.

My good camera is a Nikon D300. I also have a very small Canon Elph (7MP) that I carry with me all the time in my briefcase in case I need a camera. But since I've been carrying iphones I use their cameras a lot. The Canon does very well in good light but just fair indoors. The iphone is not even as good as this but works well enough in good light for internet use and for ordinary snapshot prints.

I started photography in high school long ago, with a completely manual Petri V6 35mm. Soon I got a Canon FT 35mm. When I was able to I bought a Nikon FE and used it for 20 years, carrying it everywhere including backpacking. The Canon FT was all manual but had a built-in meter. The Nikon FE at least had an aperture-preferred automatic mode. I bought a used Nikon with motor drive, autofocus and full auto exposure but shortly after that the Nikon D70 came out and I bought a D70s as soon as they came out. I used it until a few years ago when I was able to buy the D300.

When I bought the D70s I had a lot of good lenses for my full frame film camera. Nikon insisted that they would not build a full frame digital camera so I finally decided to buy the tiny-sensor camera, sell my old lenses and buy new lenses. Well now that I am fully invested in tiny-sensor cameras Nikon is building full frame cameras and some people think that they will abandon tiny sensors except for cheap amateur cameras. My D300 still works very well for me and I don't know how I would benefit from a newer camera so I am sticking with the D300 for now.

Panasonic lumix waterproof. Couple years old, but gets the job done, and I'm willing to take it anywhere.

Main gigs I use my trusty old D300 with lenses and speedlites. Still have my old D70 as "backup" but in reality haven't used it since I got the D300 in 2007. I've also got Several Canon Elphs - SD700IS, SD870IS, SX220HS, S90, G11. My main "EDC" camera is currently my Panasonic FZ150. I've also still got a couple 35mm P&S cameras and an old Nikon Coolpix 4300 packed away but don't use them anymore.
I've also been looking into m4/3 cameras as I'm getting tired of walking around with my dSLR gear all day.

Sony Alpha 65 for hobby activities and Sony Alpha 300 for work stuff. I do a lot of picture taking indoors and I need a DSLR that provides some flexibility. I do have a Canon point & shoot as a back up and of course I have my cell phone but I seldom take pictures with it.

This is a Fairly typical edc kit for my rotation. Plus a couple rolls of film and an extra set of batteries.

Sony NEX 5n/6 depending on which one my wife has. I love using old minolta manual focus lenses on them.

Like when I want to do macro shots:

At work its a pair of Canon 1DX
My EDC camera is a Leica M with 50mm summarit
I use my iphone a bit too, mainly 120fps "slowmo" video and pics that i need to email or message quickly or conveniently (like pics of my daughter, to send to my wife)

I use a Nikon D7100, it's probably the best crop sensor camera money can buy. But normally I just have my Samsung Note 3, so that's the camera I use every single day. Would be nice to be able to lug around a DSLR every day, but I just can't do it.

All of these go through rotation, sometimes I carry two cameras. I shoot digital too, but I like film. Having a pro grade lab 500 feet from my front door makes it awfully convenient too!

Miranda F (50/1.9), Leica R4 (Summicron 50), Yashica Electro 35 gsn, Minolta Hi-Matic 9.
