Hi there,

I am about to place an order for 2 Le Thiers liner lock knives online.
After exploring online, I decided to purchase Claudine DOZORME through the website www.lagrandecoutellerie.fr/

About 8 days ago, I sent an email to ask if they support international shipping, got replies quickly that they support deliver via UPS with shipping cost, they asked me send to them my picked models and then they will give me a quotation with shipping cost.

Then, I am choosing 2-3 knives within 7 models, as some of you may already know my previous online purchasing experience (not from this dealer), and advised by some members, I wanted to ask Claudine DOZORME take 1 photo for each model so that I can see the real knife in nature daylight.
Then until now, about 6 days pasts, they stop responding. I sent 2 follow up emails with no responding as well.

Maybe they feel not worth spending times to take photos for the small money order? 2 Le Thiers knives about EUR 150~160.

Do you have any advise what I can do? Or any other good online dealer could recommended?
(Please excuse me if I violate any forum rule, e.g. post online dealer website is not allowed)

Thanks.
D

Use a telephone. If you've been sending a lot of email it may be going into a spam blocker.

UPS caught my eye since they are planning to strike at end of July when contract runs out. May be completely separate issue from their lack of communication, but still a reason not to purchase and receive via UPS?

They probably are not motivated to take photos, and perhaps don’t have a good protocol for taking and sending individual photos with detail. If you have doubts, it’s best to purchase from someone who is willing to work with you.
Non communication on their end is a red flag. If something went wrong with the shipping, they would probably just ignore you.

Don't buy.
Thanks, just decided will not purchase from this dealer.
I think the only way is to find someone would like to selling his/her used one as after searching, no not many dealer sells my wanted model and supports international shipping.
