What can mineral oil do for you? (beware, lots of pics)

Looks good with the oil. I do some of my blades, and some I do not. Black micarta always looks better IMO, but I normally leave the tigers alone...

Doesn't oiling up the grip make it slippery?

if you wipe of the excess, you shouldnt be able to tell it has been oiled.

I'm going to oil down the handles on my AK and then go swing it.

I'm not sure that once oiled you can ever get the micarta to look the same, even with soap and water. I think a little residual oil will remain on the handles. You can get it to lighten up again, but never as clean as the original unless you sand that layer off. This comes from my experience as well as my the theory that some oil trapped as toward the base might be impossible to clean, without a very serious low-viscosity degreaser.
