What changes/customizations would you like to be seen made available to the Sebenza?

Not a bash your production Sebenza thread but more like a customized Sebenza wish list.

I'd like to see some flat flush screws. I think this would add to the simplicity factor that sort of defines the look of a plain Sebenza.

Variety of thumbstud designs. IMO this would be a very nice option.

I would like the option of having no pocket clip.

That would mean no holes or recessed area for the clip. Sort of a throw back to the P Sebenza design.

Just some "what if" ideas....
Maybe have a lightweight sebenza with really slim scales and a heavy duty sebenza with thick scales like the 'H' sebbie.
Or CRK could start offering custom G10, carbon fiber, micarta scales much like the pimpers do. Theres a market for them.

Another wish list option. No lanyard holes. I just took off all of the lanyards from my Sebenza's.

Wonder if they are going to update the large Sebenza 21's lanyard pin so that it doesn't fall out when you take the lanyard out.

12 years and counting on that request...

Seems at times I want what is not an option.
For instance, since the Sebenza has thumb studs (lugs), I'd like a Spyderhole.
Since the Sebenza has beveled edges, I'd like smooth rounded edges.
If it were the other way around, I'd probably want what they have now ;)

As for what they have that I like:

Graphics - check
Wood inlays - check
Large and small - check
Left handed - check
Great Customer Service - check
Special Limited Editions - check
Engraving - check

Now one itsy-bitsy desire might be to see a Sebenza with bolsters...not sure why, but I'd love to see one...it would end up being similar in design to how the Mnandi is constructed. Now if it had Superconductor bolsters and Lightning Strike Carbon fiber scales...that'd rock my CR world! :D
Oh, or something with Timascus scales!

Insingo, raindrop Damacus Umnumzaan with micarta inlays. Now THAT would be a stud of a knife!:D

But since the question was about the Sebenza, I'd like to see Chris do away with the stop bar, make every Sebe a double lug and use the lugs as the stops. This works great on the Umnumzaan (and many other custom folders - cough cough). I think the current design is fine, don't hear me wrong, but I think it would be a sweet design.

So close, I'd like an Insingo with River of Fire Damascus and a Large Mammoth Ivory inlay like an Annual.

Not a Sebenza request but a large Mnandi would be awesome.
Actually, I do have a Sebenza request. Carbon Fiber inlay and more Damamscus dealers. Devon & Thomas just can't keep up.

I took apart my Mnandi yesterday and there is something I wish was added to it. I wish they had a notch or groove to hold/keep the pivot pin in an exact place so that the logo would always be in a specific spot. I had the knife put back together and realized that the logo was vertical instead of horizontal.

Someone else made a post but since we are talking Mnandi's I would like to have an all titanium scaled Mnandi with a stonewashed blade. I'd like a stonewashed blade option on the wood inlayed Mnandi's.

Not sure if I'm getting off base of this threads exact theme, but I would like to see a Mini Sebenza (or Sebenza Jr.). One that would be small enough to fit in the coin/watch pocket of a pair of jeans without a clip.

I'd like to see a Tan Micarta or Green Linen inlay option. Maybe even G10 inlays.

So you want an Umfaan, yes?

I guess you would be correct on that. I forgot about that knife. That was before I purchaced my first, and only Small Sebenza 21 this year (not real familiar with past models). I searched images of the Umfaan, and I saw only one pic of a plain one. Saw more pics with designs on the handles. Did they discontinue it due to lack of sales?

I'd like to see stonewashed scales like on the Ti-Lock, at least as an option. The easily scratched bead-blasted scales keep me from buying a Large Sebenza (the only model I want), and I simply don't agree with the excuses made for the scratches--that they're "character marks," "tell the personal story/history of the knife [!]," etc.

Cheers,
Isaeus
