I bought an FFBM that's stripped, its in mint condition, the guy who stripped it seems to know what he was doing, with that being said I want to put a coating back on the knife but I have never done this before and have no idea what to use. any suggestions

You can use....Duracoat. Cerakote. Gun blue... Ect.

Depends on the results you want.

Shiny... Like satin?

Or like a gloss paint?

You can use a semi or high gloss over your choice color of duracoat paint.

Satin is going to show scratches very easily, And its not a spray on coating... You need to sand and polish the blade.

I suggest hand sand to 600. Then go to a fine scotch-brite pad. Then scrub with 0000 steel wool. Next hand polish with a good metal polish. Always go in the same direction. This is not the only, and prolly not the best, way. Im no expert just sharing my opinion. Good luck.

Garth does have special magic that can be worked in the spa. I recently sent my NMSFNO in and it was real purdy when it came back.

That NMSFNO looks awesome !!! Came out perfect

I would send it in to the shop, it has to be the next best thing to being new.

Cabo Wabo really smooths thing out.

You beat me to it....;)

Tequila Makes it Real Smooth in the Hands of Garth...AND you get the Busse Logo reinstalled (unless you wanted it Sterile?!)..

I think it depends on your intended use for the knife. If it will be a safe queen, send it in and have it done right. If it is going to be a user, no need to coat it, but if you just want some color, head down to home depot and get some rustoleum and tape.
