What Cold Steel knife is Lynn Thompson carrying these days

I understand your reasoning, Bigfattyt, but I still highly encourage you to get one. The Broken Skull is unlike any other Cold Steel folder (or any other maker's folder, really) in size, weight, material, fit-and-finish, and just plain "feel." It's the ultra-thin, ultra-light, ultra-strong lockback that I think A.G. Russell has been pursuing unsuccessfully for years.

I don't mean to be an enabler (well, maybe I do just a little bit!), but you need to try a Broken Skull. You'll thank me later!

Jeez man, you should write ad. copy for C.S. That was pretty freakin convincing !:D

^he's right. that description is pretty darn accurate.....

He is right. You just have to get one to see just how nice it really is 👍 Kevin

Dang, I feel like I'm about to buy something I wasn't planning on. Off to look at Broken Skull pics...

It is such a nice size knife but weighs very little. It is a very nice knife and unlike many 4 inch blades you really don't realize you have such a big knife clipped on. 👍 Kevin

When I met hm at Blade a few years back he had a polished xl Espada in his hand, open, when I introduced myself. It was pretty cool to see that compared to some of the other prima donnas at the show that hid behind the booths like wannabe rock stars.

Just received the Broken Skull, orange. Sick. Love the orange and awesome how much blade is in such a light package. This will be my Rocktober knife.

With Cold Steel not offering a single new XL folder design for 2016

While Technically correct, I consider the Colossus an XL folder, by folding knife standards. It certainly is a monstrous folding knife, and in line with Cold Steel's reputation for large folding knives.

Awesome. Glad you like it. You really do have to handle one to appreciate how nice it is. Now if we can just talk Lynn into a picture with his this thread will be complete 😄👍 Kevin

Dude, seriously you are getting a lil bit obsessive..

I'll show him mine and let's see if his entushiasm gets down a bit

Forgive me if I am wrong but if pictures of the president of the company carrying a particular knife come out then that usually makes more sells for that knife. It is called good advertisement for that knife. In fact since I started talking about the Broken Skull in these threads there have been a few go out and buy one. I have been collecting knives to long to be obsessed but as we all know when the president of the company is carrying one a picture is just more sells for the company and as you can see a representative from Cold Steel has been kind enough to reply to this thread. Any company wants a way to make more sells. Thanks for the picture ThePeacent 👍👍 Kevin

You're welcome, and I agree on the CEO comment. A nice way to publicize and advertise your own tools.
Here you have two more pics I took today!

There are two reasons why I haven't bought the Broken Skull.
1. The two big finger grooves on a large handle mean that with two fingers on each half, my hand will be positioned further back than I'd like. (As far as I can tell without handling one).
2. The large printed BROKEN SKULL on the blade.

Broken skull is a good knife I grinned off the Broken skull Steve Austin off the blade.

Kinda like wearing Super Man underware, it was cool when I was a kid. Not so much now that I am a grown man.
