What color is "Hot" now?

orange is definitely IN this season. from the runways of the appalachian trail to the great basin desert, all the fresh young knives are wearing it and they look HOTTT!!!

glee, kak u vac dela? you might want to check out the busse forum. they've been using a lot of blue and black G-10 recently.

I am really liking the difference of colors. Black gets old at times. I need to order some of these new colors because as you can tell from my avatar mine are all still black.

Traditionalist here.

Black, aluminum, titanium, or pretty wood. That's what I like. Colors don't do it for me on a knife.

Stabilized wood is my favorite for a nice knife and it is also very practical.

I also think that a lot of the black composite handled knives would look great if offered in a navy blue. Navy is a subdued color like black, but a little less mall-ninja looking. I am always surprised that it is rarely offered even when you can get the same knife in black, green, tan, camo and sometimes several others.

what about different colored blades? an orange bladed folder sandwiched in black scales would be pretty cool

Nice stag and nice black lip pearl seem to be the hottest thing going right now.

Orange is great for the woods, but would probably draw too much attention in public (if you use your knife around people).

I prefer more subdued colors.

Spyderco has a lot of models coming out in foliage green G-10, which looks like a muted green/gray color. Very nice.

I'd also like to get my hands on some of the gray G-10 that Kershaw used on one of their Junkyard Dog knives...

I'm really surprised, never thought about how many feel their knife is more than a tool, like art or a reflection of their tastes,
very interesting. Color can be more than a shade or dye...

Thanks, din, vse otlichno! :)
But I'd like some folder with blue handle (now it's kershaw sapphire ;))

I've seen a knife like that here at bladeforums. If I remember right the maker had some thin (1/16th?) steel stock they were trying out. Your prediction is right, that combination can be gorgeous.

ah, I see. benchmade manufactured the 940 with blue aluminum scales in limited numbers for a little while, it's very attractive. they're pretty rare, but if you get a chance to pick one up you really should.

I like grays, blues, and the like for FRN or G10 handles, but abalone or any kind of m.o.p. still takes the cake for me.
