What courier to use for UK to USA shipping?

It's been a long time since I shipped a knife to the USA, and the prices seem to have more than doubled. It's ridiculous!

Does anyone have a recommendation what courier I might try?

I'll need insurance of £500 and obviously a signature on delivery. So far I can't find anything cheaper than ParcelFarce at £66 = $108

All the cheaper ones I keep finding have knives listed in their prohibited items. Morons!
