What criteria defines a knife knut?

if you've ever debated putting a polished edge on a lawn mower just to see....
If you've ever thought about purchasing another lawn mower blade so you can rotate and see what works the best.
Not only do you sharpen knives when people are over, you ask to see their knife and sharpen it without even asking. lol I did this to my dad this weekend.

Ha Ha Ha.I'm guilty of most of theese things.
When you hike do you carry more knives than food?
Do you have more pics of your blades than of your wife/girlfriend on your cpu?

I am guilty of so many of these its not even funny.

Just to add another couple:

If you can think of 5 knives that you plan on buying someday, right off the top of your head.

When you see a knife in a movie you rewind it and pause it to see if you can identify the knife.... Then you are disappointed when is is just a chinese cheapo, excited when it is something worthwhile or pissed off if you can't tell.

If you like the movie "Cyborg". If you do, and you know why, that's huge (kinda' like crawling through broken glass for a prize).

You are sitting at the movies with a girl or two and you pull out your knife and start stropping it on your pant leg.

I got some weird looks.

You have to rush home from work to make sure you get the mail before you're wife does, so that you don't have to explain why you bought yet another knife.

NOT going to the Blade Show because you would rather spend that money (gas, room, board, meals, entry, etc.) on knives.

If you’ve just had a bad day and you go to sleep cuddling your favorite knife because it makes you feel better.
(I guess that would be defined as being emotionally attached to your knives).

If you ask a stranger what is clipped to his pocket, then mentally judge him in a negative fashion when it's Chinese junk or a modern Gerber.

Thought of another bad feature:
Visiting friends and instead of socializing, retreating to the kitchen to sharpen the cutlery....

Being able to come up with 2 pages (and counting) of characteristics that define the "knife knut" ;) Also, playing "spot the clip". That's a great one.

I gave up 11 years of collecting, buying-selling coins for knives. I started in Oct. of last year and have 15 knives, mostly customs with 13 more on order.
