What custom are you carrying right now?

^ Very nice Paul, I am a big fan of Trevor's work. I gifted my EXKII to my wife, she absolutely loves it.

Kris

- cheers, Kris

Picked this one up off the table at the KGSA show - Trevor turns out a really top class variety of pieces now...........clever fella!

Right now I'm alternating 2 folders and 2 fixed blades

But only one at a time :)

My favorite folder is an old original DISKIN FIRE

Simple put its the smartest best designed folder that I've ever seen

It's small and light but packs a great blade to handle ratio

It feels great in the hand and it's a DA AUTO

Why would you carry anything else :)

I've carried this knife for maybe 4 years now and I like it more every day

The next folder I'm carrying is not a custom ....... But it feels like one :)

It's one of John Grey's designs the Pocket Brute done very well by Kaiser Knives

It's in a horizontal belt sheath by the great Paul Long

When it comes to fixed blades I'm in a Japanese inspired blade craze again these days ...... Something that's afflicted me since childhood :)

So for hard use its a Kwaiken by Adam Vigel

This is a stainless bladed piece in an aluminum rubber covered SAYA (sheath) that begs to be used hard

With bow season coming up this piece will be a constant fixture

Next is from are resident Japanese inspired jagunaut Mr Tendick :)

In my humble opinion he's got this genre down pat these days and I see big things for him

This one is going to come as shocker to some but CM will like it :)

This case

With this sword has been in my car or truck since I got it :)

That's the current line up

These two pieces are in my winter rotation

Ben Seward

Bodyguard

This lovely Carbon Kolton by Claude Bouchonville

Pffh, I'm going to fly out where you live, track your car, and do a smash and grab!

I'll leave a little IOU note, like on Dumb and Dumber.

"It's as good as money..... my word is my bond..... you might want to hold on to that one. It's for a custom Tanto by Dave Mirabile"

Joe, I feel as though, if I was ever able to get near enough to slip something in your drink, or get a rag with chlorophyll on your face, I'd have an instant mini collection of knives and gun.. .. don't worry, I'd leave your pants and clothes.... and probably even leave you what ever excellent vehicle you were driving (vehicles are too easy to track, and too hard to hide).

I'd probably take your credit cards too, but only to charge up thousands in really classy escorts (before you wake up from the drugs and can cancel them!)

I kid, I kid....

You better do it quick .... My truck usually has a dog in it :)

He might be like this now

But soon he will be like this :)

The liner lock is made by Brian Peters (who I believe is on and off active on this forum)
I got it in a KITH and I find it a very handy knife to have on me.
The fixed I made myself for a camping trip. The sheeth clips to the inside of my right front jeans pocket.
Every now and then I EDC it

Charlie... that Walter Brend of yours is the BEST knife I have ever seen; hand's down.

I wish there was ONE knifemaker here in Australia capable of producing a knife of that caliber.

It's spectacular, the perfect fighter IMO.

Thanks! Carrying it gives me this warm fuzzy feeling:

Charlie,

Could you make a list of the names of the knife-makers that YOU like.

A list like that would save someone like me a LOT of time.

Thanks.

factory made knives aren't custom made knives, imo

I never carry a custom knife with me....

I would never dream to do so....
The few left in my collection are the kind that a small scratch is worth -$2000...

But I do carry the tiny Spyderco Cricket with its razor sharp blade that
cuts through everything when needed.

Actually I had more than two dozen of these little pieces and love to give them away
to friends and relatives when they see it in action and fall in love...

I am down to my last three...

But I am happy to keep a $6,000,000 collection of world class custom knives well
preserved between the covers of my 12 books.... :) Something very satisfying indeed...

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

I never carry a custom knife with me....

What a tragedy. Try it, you not a real knife knut unless you carry and use what you love. :) I've got a early 1990s mike franklin small straight blade in a home made pocket sheath with me right now.
