The original pic you showed looked like it was from a sebenza. Yes the umnumzaan does feature a backspacer shown. Sorry I was basing comment on what it looked like form the original pics provided.

I saw that after he posted more pics ( originally looked like those found on the sebenza). Once a backspacer licture was taken I saw it was the same style of backspacer. Thanks and sorry for the confusion everyone
 
The grinds look off, too. The Umnumzaan has sharper grind transitions on the harpoon/swedge and along the back of the blade. Thats a frustratingly well-manufactured fake, though.
 
Is the end of the clip more squared off on this fake than on a real one?

Also I just realized, since these fakes started showing up so frequently we've critiqued every subtle nuance of a difference, essentially telling the counterfeiters how to make it better. Oops

I think the clip came from a real one possibly? The squareness seems more so in the pics than in person.
