What did we collect before the BUSSE addiction?

Bada$$ gun!!!

I was into collecting guns and saltwater fishies. I think I need to get interested in less expensive hobbies

Life before INFI for me was mostly WWII knives, bayonets, swords, etc; French, German, and American bayonets, Japanese NCO shin guntos (machine made), and I got a couple hand made swords as well.

That being said, INFI aint cheap, I wounder how much that stuff is worth now. I'll never get rid of that AU Lion WWI Knuckle Duster though :D

I used to collect money to pay bills but...........................

Well Randalls for awhile but mostly guns. Yeah i'm a bonafied gunut...hk's fals, galils, mia's,aks, and old model 70's. Also some vintage hunting rifles and side by sides. ;)

Music for me. I have close to 2,000 CDs and a few hundred vinyl records consisting of all things heavy.

That's a collection I'd have fun raiding. I've got my fair share of CD's, but I'm always looking for new heavy stuff to listen to.

Hi,

like others, hand made folders, fixed knives from Randall, CRK, RAT...
Now I know: my money is worth INFI!

Amicalement

NICE! sounds like lots of fun to me

I was born in '74 and timed it just right to get into thrash when it was new and vital. I distinctly remember the first time I heard Slayer. I was in my early teens and it changed my life. I was there for the seminal releases in thrash, death metal, grindcore and black metal. I've been to hundreds of shows and seen thousands of bands play live.

Have you ever noticed how there are a bunch of sub-genres in metal? I can explain the differences and probably play examples out of my collection. My wife, however, is not impressed. :o

Metallica was my first, in the mid 80's there was a kid in school that always wore Metallica and Anthrax shirts. I asked him about it one day and went to his house after school that day to listen to some and it was all down hill from there. That was 1988 I believe. 4th grade.

I go back and forth between mellow/melodic stuff and screaming stuff. Recent favorites have been Silent Civilian, Trivium, As I Lay Dying, and A Day to Remember. But I mainly grew up on Metallica, Megadeth, Sabbath, and Zeppelin.

I started with watches, then moved to perfumes and ended up with busse knives.

I've never heard of perfume collecting!

I wish I could bring myself to collect watches, but in my line of work I'm scared to wear them. Even my "nice" $400 Seiko, which is a piece of crap compared to that Rolex.

I would love to find a good pocketwatch to keep in my bag, though.

Yup. There are not so many people that spend crazy money on scents. But it's like INFI - once you know the difference there is no way back. This vial of Oudh (agaarwood oil) for example was more expensive than any knife I own - including the one on the picture  Was it worth it? Of cause! ;) :D

Edit: not bragging 'bout anything here except my madness :)

Sweet, must of been nice to experience the glory years. Unfortunately for me my first show was in 96 when I was in the 7th grade, Nov 19 96 to be exact, one of the best days of my life :D Neurosis and Biohazzard opened for Pantera, I was slightly afraid and excited all at the same time, never been around so many crazy effers in my life at that point. It took lots of badgering to get my wussy uncle to take me down to the floor, ahhh memories.

ps, will pay $500 for an audio or vid recording of that show if anyone has access : )

POGS! Slammer time!

I use to collect Frank Thomas and Micheal Jordan cards back in the day. Also use to collect Spydercos. Dont so much collect anything these days, got lots of users but not many safe queens, this is the exception
