I will post some batonning pics I did with the AK tonight. I am so impressed with how well it performs and remains unscathed. Just a little coating wear. Stay tuned.

Great thread Jaxx.

WOW! That's crazy. Glad to hear you both are OK, relatively speaking.

Thanks, Jaxx I really appreciate it. At the time It didn't really bother me too much. But the more I think about it, the more I'm freaking myself out. I have been to this place countless times and always do the 5.4 mile north fork black creek trail. Depending on how I'm feeling (sometimes I like to stop and smell the roses) it usually takes me about and hour and a half to two hours. Which would probably put us back in the parking area close to the time when the body was placed/shot/stabbed/etc. Even though I had a glock 17 w a hi-cap I wouldn't want to deal with that especially after my week.

I took pics for a coworker who wanted to know what kind of fixed blades I own or have owned. I sent him this one, with the comment "...and a bunch more in between."

Gottal love the Air Rescue...can't wait till I get my SOW......Nice Pics!

Here is a quick clip of me batonning a wooden post with the AK. Towards the end I tried to pry the remaining wood free but it just spun the entire post around. No edge damage. The AK just laughed at me. ;)

Warning (3.32mb)

More later.

To cap off the night just right...

Dave B. > You know you love that AK sheath. ;) My wife better be in contact with you soon to order some decent pants for that bad boy. :)

Well not near as drastic as some others here.... I got into a bit of a scrap last night with a very formidable fellow... Luckily I had an adequate piece of INFI on hand to qwell the situation...

I heard a commotion upstairs and stealthily made my way up to find out what the noise was. I slid from shadow to shadow and faded into to the potted plants so well that even ole Chuck would not have found me. As I rounded the corner making not a sound in my bestest mall ninja style crouch I came face to face with the assailant... The face of terror to be sure....

Well as I said, luckily I had a piece of KAAK supplied INFI on hand to pony up to the task of de-animating the dreaded being. No it wasn't a silent kill, nor was it fast and painless... (I havent' read that book yet) but it was thorough, and I have photos showing proof that this fellow will not be creeping into anyone elses home to wreak havoc!!

She did so well at saving my hide that I decided to go ahead and treat her to a cookie for a job well done...

She quickly gobbled it up and smiled at me.... All I could think of is now her appetite has been wetted..... I think she wanted me to take her to a local bar to rouse up some trouble....

hmmmmmm....

If anyone here needs more proof of the FruitBowl Monster's demise... other evidence can be seen here... http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/DevilMan75/BusseBits/FruitBowl/

Hope everyone has a happy, safe and enjoyable weekend.

Those pics remind me. Used my Off-Duty to peel an orange last night.

Wife laughed at me.

Devilman, I can't believe those are California fruits. They look terrible. Did you drive to Ohio to get those fruits.

Doc: That OD is wicked. One of my top 5 "need to get" knives. Sweet! So was there any edge rolling or chipping after the orange? ;)
