I saw that Warthog sharpener. Pretty cool device.

All I bought was a can of Ren Wax. :p

Does that sharpener mess up a satin finish on the blade face, or just sharpen the blade edges, leaving the finish scratch-free?

Can some of you bust out the camera and post some pics of your new knives?

Boink, I also would like to know that. In the article it says that you have to hold the blade against the left side of the sharping slot. Also, not good for knifes with a blade thickness of 3/16 and larger.

Ooops. My bad Drew. Thanks for coming by.

Hey Grapevine, thank you too for stopping by. Bob may not have let that knife go if he was there and got a hold of it! It' s an oldie but goodie. Vintage Dozier made!

Nakano,

Lol, I guess it was kind of lucky for me that Bob wasn't there then.

Actually, I was a bit surprised when Linda mentioned that if I ever wanted to sell or trade to let her know. With all the knives that Bob's made over the years I didn't think they'd be sentimental over one that was only 13 years old. For the rest of the weekend I thought about trading it with her, not because I wanted anything else for it, but because of my high esteem for the Doziers. I was very torn because I love the knife. I'm still pondering of sending it to Linda, but I think I'd like to hold on to it till March at least, when they come up here again. That way I'd have some time to enjoy having it in my possession.

Wharthog-V sharpener.
I believe there is enough space if you move the opening to the V to the middle and not scratch the blade. The salesman said you could move the opening to left or right side or move it to the middle.Boink it was the one next to the Emerson table. My Benchmade Griptilan was pretty dull and after 6 swipes (with the opening in the middle)it sliced through paper like cheese. The only problem I see with this sharpener is if you have thick blades-3/8" to 1/4".
