What did you cut today?

I cut out a leaky section of the fuel line on my riding mower, opened some boxes, cut the foil off the top of a wine bottle, stripped the insulation off some CAT5 cable, opened a bag of dog food. That's just the past couple of days and I'm probably leaving something out. I simply could not function without a pocket knife and frankly, I don't know how so many people manage without one either.

If ya read the responses, most of us, including myself are really pathetic lol.
Almost embarrasing to even call us knife owners :D
I'll make up for it when I start fishing and hunting season gets here

I know I am a suburban warrior, that is why I have my tag line. My wife is worried I will be bringing home fresh road kill to skin. I only did a gopher snake so far, because I did not want it to die in vain. It must have been dead for less than an hour when I found him. It was a shame.

So far, I cut a shredded belt off my lawn mower, some tape for a package I was mailing, and a package for a camera memory card. Whoopee.

Used my Opinel No. 8 to trim a Boston Butt for pulled pork sammiches.

And did a little whittling on a "ball-n-cage" with my Old Timer 2 blade jack 33 OT and a SAK "Gardner".

Did alot of yard work. However, I didn't use my pocket knife at all. Sliced up a pork loin that I grilled with my kitchen knife and that is all for the day.

Used my Case Peanut to break down a couple of boxes and open some items wrapped in plastic. Broke out the Buck Trio to do some whittling with my sons tonight. Slowly shaping a piece of black walnut, rounding it off some until I can figure out what I want to make with it.

I cut off part of a maple branch, sliced through fertilizer sacks and much sacks uummm what else ---- oh yea my boots were full of mud so I cleaned them off with my knife. I cleaned the knife and sliced up some chicken and an orange. It was a great day.

I was lazy so I cut off a pair of vittoria Tri-evo tires off of my Zipp 404 wheel set.

Cut the end off of a hose so I could repair it. Cut some rope into pieces to do some decorative ropework on my son's kayak. cut some shavings off of a piece of firewood to help get a fire goings. Cut up a couple of apples. Opened a few bags. Cut up some onions, garlic, and chicken while prepping supper. Did some whittling. Opened some mail. Cut open a blister pack with a new knife in it.

My 70+ year old Schrade barehead jack came in handy tonight. Attended a DU dinner, small crowd, served steaks and baked potatoes. Not only did the caterer forget the salt and pepper, there were no knives! Saw one guy with a Leatherman multi-tool out.

O.K, I feel better now.
Just BBQ'd some nice thick rib eye steaks. Pulled out the ol cv 62032 for eatin purposes...
Everything is square with the universe again :D

Hmm. Slow day for me compared to usual,

Cut up a index card making a name tag for my new EDC bag,
Cut some stitches holding down/dividing elastic bands in a pouch,
Opened the mail.

Was gonna cut up an apple for lunch, but didn't... think I will shortly for a bedtime snack, so that counts. ;)

All with the peanut of course, but the apple will be vintage 50s kissing crane jack knife that i keep in the den for food use.

At the church fundraiser tonight they were using packaging tape to hold some extension cords up out of the way. I used my Cattle King to cut some of it. (When you got 20 crock pots of chili to keep warm and you are outside on the patio, you need a lot of extension cords so you can plug them into enough different circuits that you don't blow breakers.)
