What did you do durin' lunch at school?

If you want a good smoker, you gotta get em when they're young and think they'll quit before the risks involved become a threat. Unfortunately, at that age most of us never think the Big C will ever happen to us.

Some years when my classroom was further from the cafeteria, I might have enough time to eat most of my lunch before the bell rang.

Other years, I might just hang out, people watch, listen to a cassette or CD player, or read.

Damn, I hated school.

Grade school- Played games like Tag and Cops and Robbers.
In fact every year of grade school since i lived in Illinois I had a head injury.
Middle school- Wall ball, Football, Basketball, and a game we came up with to see who could throw the farthest and get the basketball into the net.
High school- drove around, ate, talked, spent time with my girlfriend. There was a time when i would sleep in the back of the library when i had a free period afterward.

I learned alot of bad things on school lunch. Learned to smoke cigs, then pot. I learned how to hurl food during food fights when the lunch attendant was absent.

One positive was that I got good at shooting pool at the pool hall located across the street.

Ah the good old bad days, those were long ago.

Back in high school in Canada (grades 9-11) during the warm months we used to go to the park downtown to eat and swim in the St. Lawrence. There were only 800 kids at my high school and we could do pretty much whatever we wanted. It was pretty nice.

When I moved to Virginia for grade 12 we weren't allowed to leave the building until the end of the day. I'd just sit in the cafeteria with 2500 other kids and eat. Sometimes I'd do my homework in the central courtyard.
