What did you do to/with your Cold Steel today?

Leave it sitting in the corner , to remind me never to buy a cold steal again.

You got a lemon, that sucks but you out-and-out stated that you wouldn't send it back. I'm not going to defend Cold Steel at all for sending out a knife in that condition, but your comment is purely trolling and sour grapes.

You pays your money and you takes your chances.

Every company has its factory miss one on occasion. Cold Steel does better than most.

Today, I carried my Mini-Recon 1 in the watch pocket of my jeans and rode around on my motorcycle. I did not cut anything with it, but I was glad it was there in case I needed to do so.

The only people who've I've seen complain about CS, whine about how hard the lock is to close....how about you stop being a panocha and start actually working for a living. I promise your hands and grip will get stronger and you'll be just fine. Just please stop whining cause you've got the grip of a little girl.

Haha , Texas , state of steers and queers ,you don't look like much of a steer to me so that kinda narrows it down don't it ;)

That's the funniest post I've read in a while upnorth😂😅 I'm glad that paper didn't give you any trouble ;):D lol

I've said my piece , there is zero point getting physical on an Internet forum.

Sure. So we can finally get back to the topic this thead is opened for right? Thanks for hijacking.

I used my Lawman for BBQ today. Hopefully I didn't burn the edge when it got too close to the fire.

It didn't happen today, but my pipe hawk got a lot of use a couple of days ago, both with hammering nails, and cutting through fiberglass insulation. I'm loving this thing a lot more than I ever thought I would.

Interesting. I came close to getting a pipe hawk for nostalgic reasons a while back, but got side tracked into axes. I was also interested in the extra weight over my Frontier. I always found the Frontier to be borderline too light for extended wood processing, but it sure is nice to pack or carry. Maybe the pipe is the sweet spot just under the heavier Rifleman ? I removed the hammer pole on my Rifleman a while back but it still works wood like it means it.

Wow, been a long time since this thread saw an update.

I've been putting my CS machetes to work on a lot of things, but today I switched back to my pipe hawk, and I'm glad I did. I had to use it for smashing and cutting through old drywall to get access to even older plumbing for repair work. It works a lot better now that the head isn't sliding off with ease.
