What Did You Do While BF Was Down?

I usually take a couple of short breaks during the day to see what`s going on here. Since we were down, I had some extra time to work in the shop. This is what I accomplished. First up is a Small Game model. This one has a blade of 3/32" O1, 2 3/4" long,with an overall length of 6 1/2". Handle is cocobolo, with two aluminum pins and lined lanyard hole.

Next up, I had a little end piece of 3/32" O1 lying around, so I thought I would put it to good use. Made this little knife to put in my kit this morning. Its 3 1/2" long, with a 1 1/4" cutting edge. Fits in an Altoids tin. Can you tell I`m bored today?

I was much less productive, mostly just tried to ameliorate withdrawal symptoms (fevers, seizures, etc.).

Those look great man, I like that small game knife a lot. :thumbup:
 
Beckerhead jr. and I went to the range and popped .22's all morning, and he got some time on the 30/30 as well. I was averaging 3 shots in 1 1/8" with plain green box remmy fodder, and then little'un smoked me with a 3/4" group :D:D

We burned about 250 rds of double duece ammo, and he is really coming along in his form, and trigger stroke. I can't help but brag on my boy!!!

He said, after he shot the ole' dirty thirty, "next time that hog is going down", and I hope so!:thumbup::thumbup:

That was my down time, oh and surfing all my .com blade retailers last night. I am really torn between a Necker, or a Campanion, need neither, want both. What a delicious quagmire to be in.

:thumbup: Stomper, you've been turning out some knives that are more and more to my liking. Both of those are realy nice looking. I've become a fan of sub-3" blades lately.

I went to the emergency room for an EKG, chest x-ray, some cool nitro tablets, a blood workup. No, not because the forum was down. I just had another one of those semi-vaporlock events. Growing old isn't for sissys. :(

Hey, is it cold in here to you guys? Someone put another log on the fire. I'll get another cup of hot tea with tupelo honey.:)

I laid in the fetal position with one thumb in my mouth and one hand on my PSK, trembling under the AMK Heatsheet. That was worse than coming off Heroin. I also met a lady who says she lives here and she also calls herself 'My girlfriend'. So far we are getting along.

Yeah, they just ruled out the most obvious, heart attack. That was a relief. It is most likely something like a blockage (not in the heart... had those tests a while back).

Meh. Life is fatal. Live well until you can't. Treat yourself good while you are young and your old self will thank you.

PS- Glad to have the forum back up. I can adventure from my armchair some more. :p
 
I went on a 2 day drunken bender. I ran out of Advil and just got more. My eyes are starting to focus again, and all is well. I hope this doesn't happen again, but just in case I will get some more booze.
 
I realized how much I hang out here. I was able to console myself by playing with my new Stomper knife. Oh, and I did some laundry too.
 
Spent the week at deer camp. I didn't even know it was down.:D Good hunting, good food and good friends. Pictures later, I am not home yet.:D

I gotta get checked-up from the neck-up soon, for all that crap.

Fujita Yuji, man, smoked bacon is the BEST!! Whenever i smoke pork on the grill, i throw some bacon in with it. the bacon is done before the pork, so I can have some bacon strips with my beverage of choice! (Hence needing the cardio check up.)

I did just like beckerhead today. Great minds think alike. :D
Except skunkwerx junior, college boy, was still sleeping when I left and had just awakened when I returned. his loss. ;)

Went to the rifle range to check a repair I made and fire some test loads.
Ishapore Enfield 2A1 cal.7.62x51 165 gr. SP using Battle sights.
Shooting about 4" high at 100 yards. Battle sights Zero at 200 meters, so not as far off as the 100 yard shots would indicate, still need to bring them down a tad, even if it's using "Kentucky elevation" on my POA.

Then fired some old rot-gut milsurp 5.56 at 100 yards, iron sights.
It's milsurplus, what can i say, they'll still take off a Zombie's head at 100 yards. but only hit the squirrel about 50% of the time. i don't shoot squirrels, especially not at 100 yards, no worries there.

Take a big paddle to womp them gators.

My parents have a place down there, the gators are still on the protected list, but, they are everywhere, chomping on people's pets, stopping traffic while they cross the roads, and ending up in people's swimming pools.

I blame it on too many people taking up too much of the gator's space.
