What did you do with your knife today?

Water hose sprung a leak near the end so out came my Izula and with a little sawing I cut off behind the leak and put on a new end. Tin snips would have been alot faster but they were all the way back at the garage 12 feet away :)

cut a heap of tape and stuff off some steel that came in, opened universal joint packaging to install in some tail shafts i was making...didn't use it that much today though.

Today at work so far, I've used my knife to open some plastic packaging, strip some wire, and make 2 sandwiches (HUNNNNGRYYYY :D).

Zombie dismemberment. Their rotting flesh is no match for my Case CV peanut. It is in the traditional/tactical zombie combat series. Textured G-10 handles for added grip for when slippery zombie exudate gets on my hands and knife scales.

made a candy dispenser from a macbook pro box@work
just a little creative outburst :p
used a hinderer xm-18 3 inch (see my youtube review on it)

I used mine to poke a hole on my Fire Watch cert card so I could put it on my name badge clip. Also used it to take the zip tie off of my new bag of fitters tools at work. Today was my second day of orientation at Todd's Pacific ShipYard.

(yay I have a job)

CRKT Criuser

Scrape some gunk (asphalt road tar I think) off the kitchen floor.
Hacked back some overgrown shrubs in the side yard so I could cart some bricks through to the back yard.
Sliced some ants in half in the kitchen.
Flipped it open a couple dozen times.... just because.

I killed a spider with my Kulgera. It was repelling down its line when I was on the toilet, so I flicked open the Kulgera and slashed it out of the air.

I didn't do anything WITH my knife this morning...but spent a few minutes with my trusty old Hiram A. Smith stones showing some love to an old Camillus Pilot's knife...

Well, I had this thread hang'n from my shirt. I wasn't sure what to use so I stopped by another knife fourm and asked for recommendations. Everyone said the task at hand couldn't be completed with anything less than a 6" survival knife that cost more than $300. The minimum blade steel require per the experts was S30V and most said that wouldn't work.

Needless to say I was pretty stressed out because all I had on me today was a AUS8 folder and it had been a full three days since it seen a stone.

I had to give it a try, thinking I could always complete the task later in the day, should I not be successful with my little 3.5" folder. Guess what? If was up to the task. Now I'm thinking about recommended this knife to all that need threads cut from their shirts. Should I? I'm pretty sure it is a good choice. I won't even have to sharpen my blade when I get home because it still shaves hair.

Let me know what you think. :)
