Ha ha thanks, I'm stacking all my wood this way now. It takes a bit more time but I like the way it looks compared to regular stacks. This one in the picture isn't quite done yet it still needs a top.
 
Thanks for clueing me in on the Holz Hausen. . .now I have to restack all my firewood into a fitting lawn decoration instead of a ho-hum semi-eyesore!

Thanks AJoe. If you decide to build some HH feel free to shoot me an e-mail with any questions. I've built a few now and learned from some mistakes, even had one collapse shortly after completing it. It's not rocket science but there's definitely some technique to it.
 
Thanks. . .I googled it and came up with a couple of different resources. . .I don't think I have enough wood to make a full-size one yet, but I plan on rectifying that soon!

At first glance, I thought that was a trap waiting to be sprung on some poor, unsuspecting fool.
 
It does look like a trap doesn't it? It is currently a work in progress. I am waiting for a display cabinet that I ordered to come in. Hopefully in a week or two I'll have it looking the way it should.
