What did you get for Christmas ( show your new toys )

...
i dont know if i will carry it or if it will take a place in my knife box as a cherished gift from momma :P
...

A knife from Mom is still a knife from Mom, no matter what kind of knife it might be!

My Mother got me this one this year. I will cherish it.

Wow, you folks got some nice gifts. I didn't know that Case offered damascus. I'm assuming that someone makes it for them? Does anyone know who? Thanks for sharing everyone.

Great gifts guys! I wasn't gifted a knife this year. But I've picked up a few niceones for my sons.

I'm my own Santa Claus!

What a coincidence-- you were mine, too, giving me the top knife in this picture via your Christmas Eve Giveaway (picture taken as the sun set on this Christmas Day):

Thanks again. :-)

The stag lil' Barlow was my designated Christmas Present (also for me, from me), and for which I too did not wait. Life's too short. ;)

The other two just sorta hopped along as a matter of aforementioned Life, with the Boys Knife arriving yesterday (after its own postal adventure, such small peanuts -- Hi, Pete!--- compared to Elliott's Better Muskrat's going missing that it wasn't worth fretting about).

Wowzer are there some great knives in this thread, with some great pictures. Of course the TC barlows jump out at me, but the photographs really do today's knives justice and then some.

Great gifts everyone, Vic love that shield, very cool

Mooseyard I believe it is Devin Thomas carbon steel damascus

great picts and merry christmas to all... alas no knives for me, this is the first year in about 5 years, but the vintage CVA .50 cal Hawkens and the new Henry repeater will help me deal with a knife free christmas :D
regards
Gene

Nice gifts folks!

Hey Pete, I got another peanut this Christmas also. According to USPS it is to be delivered tomorrow. Pictures when I am able.

Black Alox Pioneer and the Champ Plus (the ones on the boxes) are the newcomers. I just decided to do a family photo.

i wish i could work the camera...
i got a gransfors bruks scandinavian forest axe (i know im not in the right neck of the woods but i thought id tell ya anyway)
on a more traditional note i got a 1974 CASE pattern 80 whittler with some sweet red bone

I got a lot of great things for Christmas and I'll be posting pics soon.
I have to say that three GEC tubes showed up and I am just shocked by the quality that came with them.

It's been quite a while since I got/bought a GEC last and it's obvious that I've been missing out.

Glad so many of you received such nice gifts. I also received some lovely presents, only a couple of knives so far though (plus a nice Boker knife carry/storage type thing), a Case Small Texas Jack with chestnut jigged bone and Boker Stockman with faux Lonesome George scales. Very pleased with both of them. Happy Christmas everyone :)

Jack - great looking knives. Very nice each of them. The Bökers (made in USA) have their own appeal which is much nicer than the ones that are sold in Germany (just my opinion)...

The Case Medium Texas Jack is almost pretty long on my list - this year I gonna pull the trigger on that beauty!

Andi, Jack's knife looks to be a German made Boker, Solingen tang stamp

Kris - I´ve just seen that - but it´s a Tree Brand Knife and they are not available here in Germany  (though they are made here in Germany) I´ve already contacted them for their very traditional design. These knives don´t get sold in Germany. However - the traditional Böker knives made in the US are very very nice. I´ve never had the chance to handle an american traditional (german made) by Böker.
Though I´ve handled some of their half-integral-fixed-blades with stag handles and their Böker Winzermesser etc etc and somehow the spawn doesn´t jump over ;)

I did not know that, thank you much. I have a few and would be glad to send you one, PM if you are interested.

Thanks a lot Andi, as Kris says the Boker is made in Solingen, but I think you were saying before that those models aren't sold in Germany? Kris has a similiar Barlow pattern I believe, though that wasn't available here. My girlfriend got it from a UK retailer, but the registration card is for Boker USA. Seems odd that they go from Solingen to the US, then back over to Europe.

(Posted before I read your last 2 posts guys :) )
