I can think of 7 new toys I picked up at the show. Maybe more, but my brain is fried. The list:
Arno Bernard hunter with ATS34 blade, nickel pins and giraffe bone slabs. Cape Buffalo pouch sheath.
Roger Massey camp bowie with 10" blade of forged 1084, rope fileworked nickel silver oval guard and curly maple handle. Awesome knife.
Kevin Cashen damascus hunter bowie with O1/L6 twist damascus blade, nickel silver single guard and buttcap, gorgeous amber colored stag handle.
Big John Fitch camp bowie from Kevin Pensinger. I think this is the one they designed together for Kevin's site. All I know is, I fell in love with this monster. Blade is long, maybe a foot of 1084 with very visible temper line, stainless or nickel double guard and big fat curly maple handle with lined thonghole. Awesome sheath from Kenny Rowe that has a swivel feature so that the knife moves out of the way when you sit down. Well worth the money.
Darryl Ralph fighter bowie with 7" blade of thinly flat ground CPM3V. Looks to be blueish green G10 slabs. This knife is scary sharp and balanced perfectly.
Picked up 2 knives from Murry Carter(new ABS Mastersmith). One is a handforged neck knife with beautiful ironwood slabs and laminated carbon/stainless blade. The other was a big camp bowie with 8" blade of the same laminated steel. This is the steel he makes those famous kitchen knives from. The core is some super pure, ultra high carbon steel( 1.4% carbon) and stainless layer on each side. Both are scary sharp, as Murry doesnt let you take them until he sharpens them on his water stones.
Picked up the nicest knife I will never use. This is one of Corbet Sigman's fancy hunter with mirror finished upswept clip blade(stainless?), nickel silver guard and buttcap and absolutely gorgeous cocobolo handle with perfect right hand finger grips. This knife is one you can look at for hours and not find any flaws. I dont know anybody who would take this knife out and use it, but everybody here would drool over it.
I think that's all, but will take a look around. I was moving pretty furiously over the 2.5 days I was at the show, so I may have missed something. Now, all I have to do is pay for all this stuff!
