What did you shark this week? Embellishment thread.

I think I remember Andy having hammered the 3V blade he made into a tree stump vowing to never make another... I might be mistaken, but I think it was something like that..

A 5/32" 3V Hunter is grail material imho...

Oh, Andy isn't kidding when he mentions his "volcanic" personality. Artists are just that way. It's that passion that makes what they create the art that it is. More than one knife has been hammered into a stump and waled on...including the twin to the first K.E. Bushie I had :)

He was kinda pissed at warping in tapered Camp knives a while ago as well.. :D That's why mine is full tang ;)

I have to stop. This is getting out of hand. Do you guys know how to?

I know just what you need to do. Wait, I am the last person you should listen to regarding this. Carry on, and welcome to the madness.

The only cure is to isolate yourself from your trigger. So quick! Pack up all your Fiddlebacks and ship them to me. I'll take one for the team, if it means you will be better off. I'm just selfless like that. 😄

My two for this week, looking forward to getting to test out a Hunter. Finally.

Hey Joe,

I am happy that you finally got the Woodsman that you have been searching for. That one has some awesome spalting on the blade. It looks like the coffee bag burlap has some nice green highlights in spots too. Very cool. Post some more pics when you can.

I didn't score any new knives this week, but I took some new pictures of the ones I already have. Does that count?

LOL! That would be too easy. I have to just work through this like a man.

I want to see what you guys scored this week. Whether it's old, new, rusty and dusty or straight from Andy, I want to see it.

It's been a long hard search, but with perseverance and lots of patience, I finally scored the infamous Woodsman. 5/32" CPM3V in coffee been burlap.

Oh, just wait. It's coming :) Really nice Woodsman by the way. I really hope to pick up a synthetic handled one later on myself.

Wow, it's funny how things present themselves in the oddest of places. Scored a like new 1/8" tapered tang, Osage orange 3 finger Joe (unexpectedly overnight) for what I'd consider a very reasonable price (threw a number out there and the seller took it). Pics for the rest of this week's spoils forthcoming.

I think I'm done for a bit (phew)!

I saw that and wondered if it was for you! Very very nice -- If I recall correctly , that was the exact spec you wanted (swedgeless) -- Beautiful knife, enjoy it!

Yep, it is exactly what I wanted. Nicely featured lighter wood, tapered 5/32, and swedgeless, Beautiful knife, I plan to enjoy it very much! :)

Thanks man. I can't wait to hold it and cut something with it.

Isn't it crazy how things work out? I scored quite a few Fiddlebacks last week and really had no intentions of purchasing anything. It all starts with that PM you send thinking "he'll never sell..."

Very very nice. That has to be the best shank I've seen yet. I was so bummed that I let mine go, I went out and snatched up a tapered tang shank in a tuxedo with a orange pinstripe. They make for a very nice EDC.

Picked this baby up from the post today. I am in love all over again! View attachment 427342View attachment 427343

Tribial,

I am not an orange liners fan myself, but that combo with the black canvas and natural canvas bolsters look really slick. I can see why you are excited about receiving that one. I hope that you post some pictures after you give it some exercise in the woods. Congratulations again on a very nice score.

On a side note, I got lucky today and scored something new with Ruby Red Shadetree burlap. I don't think that I will ever catch up to your red Shadetree collection, but I am happy to add one to my theme and a new model to boot.

Enjoy playing with your new baby.

Phil

Where's the CK Will?!

That Duke is sweet. I like that orange spacer and hope they start throwing those in more often. It looks great in daylight.
