What did you use today?

I´ve been cutting some fallen trees, getting wood for the oven. I use the Jersey Razorback axe that restored with a HH handle. It has been a lot of fun and lerarn a lot in the process. Thanks for all the advaices

I just drove the wedge on this Hults Bruk hewing hatchet. The handle isn't done yet, some finishing touches left to do. The wood is from a dead standing pine I cut down last winter.
It was delightful to carve it, did it all using my claw hatchet and a Hultafors craftsman knife, but how will it hold up? We'll see.... :-)

True, hangups can be a lot of work. I figure it's good practise though to create a tight lay, and didn't want to damage the small tree.
